This is exciting! More than 30 years later and we are finally getting a remake with MUCH more powerful hardware!!! And as always: Great job with the videos! 👏👏👏
I remember seeing the original Alone In The Dark being demoed on MS-DOS for the very first time at an electronics convention--CES '91 I believe it was--and being excited for the future of gaming within a 3D space. I didn't actually get to play it until '94 when it was ported to the Panasonic 3DO. I didn't even own a 3DO either. I simply walked into a Circuit City one day, and there it was, running off of a display unit. Despite all the technological advancements that it brought to the industry, I still remember bugging out at how the pronounced aliasing on the characters' pixelated faces gave them this "crazy eyes" look. It truly was the original 3D Survival horror.
The environment looks fine, but man, the characters, it should be illegal to have such bad animations and textures on characters in 2024, they look like PS3 character models in PS4 environments...
@@I_am_a_cat_It's not an excuse, it's about managing your expectations. I assure you Helldivers 2 had bigger budget than this game. Also gameplay is not boring, if you find it boring, you're just not the targeted audience for this game. I'm playing through it right now and the story and exploration is a lot of fun.
AA game. It's unfortunate to see spoiled modern gamers like you too obsessed with graphics. This game was designed to be old school (graphics too) with 1920s noir detective mystery solving, rather than being your Michael Bay-esque balls to the wall action. Also, what's wrong with still having PS3-level graphics today? Not every game has AAA budget like TLOU or Horizon games, and lots of games even from the PS2-era still look great even now. There are even indie games that purposely recapture the quality of PS1 or PS2 graphics. Quit being spoiled and entitled on graphics.
more than 30 years later, that frog's luck finally ran out
1992 game? Holy shit!
You make retro view 8 bit in game 2024 ! Perfect )))

Yeah and its super boring garbage lmao. Back in 92 it would have been amazing. But now? So boring.
Yeah, I just heard. That's unfortunate.@@I_am_a_cat_

I've seen hundreds of your comparisons, but finally, I see the first material where the left side significantly differs from the right. 😅
It's like they were made 30 years apart or somethin crazy like that

Eu tinha no Windows Millenium 🎉
Is this 2024 game a remake of the original? Same game with better graphics or changes to the original game?
More like a Reimagining mixing elements from the original trilogy.
The frog being eaten tells me everything I need to know, Stranger Things cop man is the only good thing about this game.
Thank you for your time.

Not every company has the same budgets as Capcom or Sony.
And such borrrring gameplay
@JC-kl3uc that is no excuse. Look at what Arrowhead has done with Helldivers 2. I had never even heard of Arrowhead until now.
