Why don't you move ranged heroes so they can immediately start firing the second the enemy comes on and if they're melee they can start fighting righ away. For a few seconds he travels with no attacks where a lot of the heroes definitely could've used well

But they are not really designed to be the damage dealer,they are meant to stall and let enemies to fight each others
