Opened 3rd December 2021.
When I heard about this new link trail, I just had to run it. A great route linking old historic Logan Village to the exponentially booming Yarrabilba.
Sorry about the video content nonsense, it's just what I do.

Just rode this from Yarrabilba end to Logan Village and return... Twice... In the rain... Nice path and the track around the wetlands is quite nice as well. Definitely adding to my frequent rides list.
In the rain...that's the determined spirit. Love it! Yeah, such a nice track isn't it for biking, scootering, running, etc. 👍👍

Bull Rushes is the plant. I used to go Hang Gliding at Mt Tamborine about 20 years ago. All that area around Logan Village used to be farmland and Bush!
Yes, thank you! Bull Rushes.... That's it. I never remember these names when I'm out and about, lol. How much that area has changed, right.... And still is yet to change. It's growing crazy that way...
Increasing population out there, would be a great idea to re-open the Beaudesert branch line as a feeder service to Bethania Station.

@@jelbuilderfilms Old folks village built on top of or very close to the formation at Waterford. Conversely the Brisbane Valley branch line formation was retained as future proofing.

@@jelbuilderfilmsVery informative film, thanks. I walked that formation years ago to, also stopped at the fence, that very same rail vehicle was there then, looks like it hasn't moved. Track gang used to have a depot/yard at Bethania with it's own siding. Beaudesert branch line was dieselised in 1967, passenger service (rail motor) ran out there until 1961. Canungra branch line closed in 1955. Lot info on Wikipedia about them. Clips of Beaudesert heritage steam train on RUclips.

The state government still owns the railway corridor from Beenleigh to Bueadesert.
G'day again. Apparently the Canungra branch line veered off the Beaudesert line at Anzac Avenue, so I think this Rail Trail must be following the route of the Canungra Railway Line, not the Beaudesert Railway Line. All the websites I can find say that it is on the Beaudesert line, which is wrong.
Yes, very interesting. I think there is some confusion on this too on some websites I've checked. I'll endeavour to research a bit more.
The Canungra and Rathdowney lines are actually a "Tram" line and was never part of the railway corridor.
Awesome video, will need to check out. What phone/device did you use for filming this? Surprised how stable it is while running!
Thanks Saare! It's a great little route. I use a GoPro Hero 9 for my filming, and I mount it onto a 30cm bendy leg tripod. I find thats best for me, not heavy and I'm used to it now. GoPro had amazing stabilizer software built in, but it suffers with low light, so need to pick what to shoot. Hope that helps!
Nice area, cn you ride your bike there? Where are all the people, I never seen any people in these areas when you show them?
Everyone was still asleep as it was 6:30am💤. Great cycle trails on concrete and bitumen for the community here, and proper bush trails just a couple of kms further down.
Sadly the maintenance of the verges and traffic islands leaves a lot to be desired. Waterford-Tamborine rd is a state road and state responsibility and is poorly maintained.Although I believe the park is council responsibility.
