Oe error is for when the drain is either clogged or failing. Based on that horrendous sound, it requires a complete replacement. Try not to run it any more without replacement as when the washer spins with water in the tub like that without properly draining it out it will ruin the bearings which is a way worse issue
Yes that noise is the drain pump. It can potentially be user issue from not emptying out the filter every now and then. It’s not insanely common but I’ve seen a handful of Lg units need drain pump replacements between 5-15 years depending on usage and maintenance. But a lot of the time they don’t fail
@@Ikey04-ge9gy gotcha. My 2005 Duet from whirlpool is 20 yrs old now and never has had drain pump issues YET... but I'm the only one who ever touches the machine and I check pockets diligently...to access the pump I have to take the front panel off, which I rarely do becuase the few times I've done it... there's NOTHING there... so I just stopped checking it.

so that noise is the drain pump? Does something the user does cause this to happen or did it just happen? Is it common? Thanks
