Love these bubble baskets. Can bling up too. Or tamed down for a guy in his shop or garage area. I'm trying to figure out how to make larger ones by enlarging this basic pattern. I am going to try with some marine vinyl which isn't too heavy a vinyl. And lighter weight pack cloth for more utilitarian purposes. I suspect the vinyl won't need the interface or facing. I appreciate Diana for giving us FREE patterns. That's so super sweet. Patterns can be so expensive and I love people that share patterns or ways around them when they are not always needed just the squares or rectangles as Sewing with Nancy would have pointed out. Plan to make for a friends vintage Class B RV and she's decided to go a little bit hippy so flower printed canvas comes to mind for the outside fabric and she loves the bright greens and kiwi greens so of course it'll be lined with that. Oh and these would be fun to use up scraps and smaller left over pieces of fabric. Like all that left over cottons from mask making days. Thank you again Diana.
Tracing paper will help to transfer darts without cutting. I love this pattern. Thank you. I am going to hang some of these on a rod over my craft table.
Thankyou for this delightful little project. I had fun using up some scraps today. I did have to hack a front seam just because of scrap pieces but once my tools are in there, it’s not even noticeable. All the best for 2023.
Thank you so much for sharing us this tutorial. I was looking for hanging pods patterns and found your video that taught me a lot and helped me making this beautiful basket. Can’t thank you more.
Thank you! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sharing your pattern🥰🥰🥰🥰 from the bottom of my heart gratitude & blessings 🎉🎉 I've been searching for someone to explain how they make the pattern but I'll take a print out😅 YAY 🎉
Great tutorial. Thank you so much for taking the time to show this. I think a walking foot might be helpful when stitching the top. Looking forward to making these.
Thank you for this. Someone on facebook linked to your video as a suggestion to use these as small animal hides. I will be making these out of moving blankets for my little ratties.
Great litte thread catcher. I am new to darts, what direction do you lay the darts down and when adding the lining do you lay the darts the opposite direction? Thank you!
Hi there! I'm about to cut the fabric out for this but I'm using a directional print and I can't figure out which side of the pattern is the top. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks so much.
When taped thogether the pattern is 11 1/4" long. 8" wide at the widest end and 3 1/2" wide at the for end. The bottom circle has a 7 1/4" circumference. The tab piece is a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" rectangle. I hope this helps.
I found the pattern however in the description it says 1/4 yd of each then when I open the pattern it says 1/2yd of each? Can I download the written instructions?
@@jackiemartin2106 you can print out the blog post and use that as the instructions. They are written in blog form but can be saved and printed as a PDF by clicking the printer icon at the bottom of the blog post.
I just finished one and it came out super nice. It came together very well. Next time I might increase the seam allowance of the lining bottom. For whatever reason, my linings always seem a bit big. Probably because I roll the lining back a little when I topstitch around the top. Thanks for doing this easy to follow tutorial. If I wanted to reduce the size or enlarge it, do you have any suggestions?

how about a small one for clips or how to cut pattern down to make small one?
Great litte thread catcher. I am new to darts, what direction do you lay the darts down and when adding the lining do you lay the darts the opposite direction? Thank you!
Because this is a little basket it doesn't really matter. Laying the darts opposite would probably be a better option but is not necessary.
What machine brand are you using? Making these here this week for an upcoming fund raiser …(no pressure). Thank you. Elly
At the time I was using a Husqvarna Viking Opal. I now use a Janome Memory Craft 9450 which I like much better.
Great tutorial but I can’t find the pattern

The longer darts are at the top with the shorter ones at the bottom. I hope this helps. Good luck.
@@SewVeryCrafty Thank you so much for your quick reply!
How do I find the pattern

Hello could you please tell me where I get the pattern for the bubble basket?
sewverycrafty.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Bubble-Basket-Pattern-1.pdf
How do I know the dimensions of the circle piece?
@@denicemccallister7255 The circumference is 7 1/4". There is a circle attached to the pattern to cut out.
Is the bottom joined at the short dart edge ?
Because the bottom is round it can be joined anywhere. If you find that the bottom is too big you can make it smaller or just ease it into the pod.
What are the measurements of length and width of each piece?
When taped thogether the pattern is 11 1/4" long. 8" wide at the widest end and 3 1/2" wide at the for end. The bottom circle has a 7 1/4" circumference. The tab piece is a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" rectangle. I hope this helps.

Yes, if you go to the bottom of the blog post to the print icon you can print out the instructions without ads. Good luck with the project.

I just go to an office supply store and have them reduce or enlarge the pattern. It is easier that way. It should work for this.
