Wish they would’ve made it a whole episode of them all going out 2 by 2! It’s really special and big moment. So just to get a few minutes honestly was a big let down for me. Like I wanted to see more of them, how they struggled being on their own, the conversations. Thad and Nathaniel would’ve been so amazing to listen to. Just wish we would’ve seen more of it instead of an opening scene. All scenes were amazing hahaha I don’t mean to sound bad I just wanted to hear more of the stories or trials they went through etc. ❤ either way I love all episodes and what they bring.
The chosen only having a montage of their 2 by 2 ministering is the single biggest error/disappointment to me in the entire series. That being said The Chosen is absolutely great and I love this show second to none.

When it was finished and went onto the music and so on, I paused it and was like, that’s it?! That’s all we get? We don’t even hear them talk? I know I sound selfish and should just be grateful for everything but come on. Jesus has had 2 full episodes of just him and they got 5 minutes. Lol I take those full two episodes. I don’t mean to discredit or sound like I’m badgering them or the writers. It feels like you have a whole cake of goodness and you’re super hungry, you get one tiny bite and that’s it, although you know there is a whole cake in front of you. You’re like that’s it? Sorry if I complain too much haha. Just like come on. It’s about the chosen and Jesus of course but we never got to see them grow into what they could become. 3-5 minutes is all? Almost turned it off after that actually.
To be fair, that would have slowed down the season and the high point were heading to this season. I also believe that Dallas will do more of those moments in later seasons. After all, it's apart of their stories and purpose.

I thought the build up of episode 2, then the breather episode of episode 3 (following Jesus in Nazareth, great episode) and I thought at least episode 4 would be devoted to paying off the suspense and let us see them growing into their roles. Especially because in the advertising they talk about it so much. I ultimately chalk it up to being my least favorite episode of the series.
I liked how the different pairings went against the natural cliques that seemed to be forming, so that everyone’s comfort zone was challenged for the sake of the Kingdom. (Kinda like how they talked about with Big James.) It brings back memories of youth group or college group activities where we would often do things in teams or in pairs where we’re getting to know someone new, or working with people who I might not think to work with otherwise. But I end up making some new friends or bonding with them.

Yes- apostles who teach, worship the one true God during His time on earth and after His ascension, and finally who lead and are the early governing structure of the early Church. It was so cool to see how you paired up the apostles! Opposites like Matt+SimonZ, and the James duo was great. It was crazy to see Philip and Andrew, arguably the nicest guys in the group, thrown out of the city. And to see even Judas having the power to cast out demons, and how even he was part of Jesus' mission--- amazing stuff here!
The beginning of episode 4 where they showed all the disciples going out two by two was one of my absolute FAVOURITE parts of the entire series so far!!!! SO well done 👏 ✔️ 🙌 👍 👌

That beginning scene of them doing the two-by-two, it was so artistic. And then George’s face as John was so infectious that you felt the amazement as if you were the one who laid the hands and a miracle happens thru you

To be able to witness the the disciples go out on the mission Jesus sent them on 2 by 2, while being a little scared at first is absolutely captivating. Because we usually only briefly read about it, but don't consider how they all must've felt.
Exactly. And there’s is no other scene in which I can relate more with Matthew than the way he looks when he casts out the demon with Zee. [Because I’m a little Matthew myself.]

Your portrayal of Little James was very meaningful to me. I, too, deal with issues that have made me feel self-conscious about my ability to be used by God. Thank you for opening yourself up to be vulnerable. It really spoke to me that perhaps, because of my medical issues, I am in a unique position to be used by God in ways that others could not. This really helped strengthen my faith.
God once saved me a good few years ago when I went through a lot of things in my life, I begged and asked God for help, he then directed me to two wonderful ladies at the church and my life changed so much. But I knew there was still something wrong with my life and there was still this darkness inside me, I had to get it out of me asap! And then someone told me about Chosen and this show changed me so much, It brought me closer to Jesus Christ, I have now repented and it's time to serve God, I will do everything in my heart to do so. I told my Dad about it and he is also closer to Jesus Christ. I never felt so good, I feel this glow and energy around my body, I feel unstoppable because I know God will protect me even more than he did before. I enjoy reading the bible so much now because it like being in a room, listening and taking life lesson notes

I love what Noah said about how they as actors actually gorw into being the apostles, as actors in this production they are able by their talent to bring the bible and Jesus ministry to life and impact so many people through that I pray they will be abundantly blessed for whatever part they play in bringing Jesus to people's live that would otherwise never have had the oportunity to make that connection, and it is great that it is done with such love and joy for the roles and for each other.

The more I watch and learn about the characters, the actors, and the production's backstories, the more I see the hand of God in this series. I am so grateful I found it years ago. And blessed that I can in my own small way, contribute my loaves and fishes, that others can come to Jesus and God. I hope this show captures more hearts and minds for the glory of God!
I am a walking advertisement for this series. So well thought out and put together. I think most realize that some things not necessarily biblical in the show that glue biblical parts together, but are believable, and could have happened. They also don't take away from the emphasis of the show. Hoping many will watch this that might never open a bible and be transformed.
I absolutely loved getting to hear the thought process behind the pairings and everything that went into the writing/filming of those scenes. Only makes me wish we had even more of the two by two so we could see more 😬

How is it possible to love these guys more each time we hear from them? We are so blessed to have this highly gifted and insightful cast! Each one of them brings their very best to the table with love and generosity! And let's not forget our writers...brilliant!
This is what I love about this show, it’s reality that all the disciples were like us at some point in our life. Just like Noah James said “it shows how the disciples grow into being the Apostles”. We in Christ can all relate with our own struggles as we grow in Christ to get deeper in our faith, learning God’s words, finding the confidence to tell others our testimony and leading others to come to know Jesus as their Lord. I love how Jesus is so perfectly portrayed in this show too. Each time I read scripture during my Bible study I am more aware of how each person in scriptures were real people with everyday lives. The Chosen has helped me to see in scripture what I never saw before, the reality of each person’s life during biblical years. Best show ever!!! Thanking God for all the staff and actors/actresses as their portray the greatest history stories ever told.
What I like most about "The Chosen" is how the story is being told. There have been many, many movies about Jesus' life, but they have all been told from the center with everyone around Christ as extra characters. This is different. "The Chosen" is still Christ centric, as it should be, but it's about Jesus through the eyes of those He chose and those who knew Him. We see ordinary, everyday people from fishermen, farmers, and tax collectors transform into followers, then desciples, and finally apostles. We see how His mother, His cousins, His friends, and those not so friendly react to His mission. This is by far the best telling about the life of Christ.
And the disciples are regular, normal people that were scared, nervous, felt insecure many times. Not like the stoic image that I was used to see in other movies about Jesus’s life. The same goes with the way they portray Jesus. He’s sweet, funny… It’s not that I never liked other portrayals of Jesus, but “this Jesus” is the one I know. 😉
Imagine pairing up a tax collector & a zealot😂 Paras Patel & alaa safi were my favorites and I was so happy to see their friendly approach towards each other on the set & in the series❤️
Wow! I just finished binge watching season 3 up to now and I must say that this season has been incredible! The actors caught the emotion of the scriptures! Something that's difficult to do. This is the perfect cast! I'm now awaiting to see Zacceus (maybe he might know Matthew), the centurion soldier miracle, the demon possessed man Legion, the woman caught in adultery, etc. so much more to show for this series! You guys are literally bringing the Bible to life in video format! Can't wait to see the season finale!

It is probably a reference to Nathaniel, who was always referred to as "son (bar) of Tholomeus". I would be so touched if that were true; Frankfurt am Main is my hometown, the idea that a disciple / apostle of Jesus would have preached and died here is incredible...
It would have been AWESOME to start the Two by Two episode with John touching someone's ears, healing them, and when he pulls away, THEN the audio comes in!
It was odd to see it filmed in black and white but then it felt surreal to me like I was with each apostle doing what they were sent to do? When they all got together and spoke of their experiences 2x2, they sounded like it was surreal to them as well. When ever I watch THE CHOSEN, I put myself in the actors place and think of what it must have been like for any of them to be apostles of Jesus. Especially Jesus' mother knowing it would be soon that he would die. As a mother how do you get thru that? Think of the weight Jesus carried knowing he would die horribly for man. That's a lonely person. How I praise him, honor and glorify him .♥️🇺🇸❤️🙏❤️😭

The Chosen is the first long tv series on Jesus and the first one told from very human and contemporary perspective. I really like joking Jesus who likes to spent time with other people. I like lack of special effects when Jesus performs miracles. Of course the divine nature is the most important but I really appreciate seeing Jesus as human as he can. The Chosen is a very realistic and natural show based on relationships between characters. I love frictions between disciples, their diversity, their harsh background and past. And then Jesus comes to fix their relationships and to make them one. Jesus who appears in the hottest moment to soothe them all. At last we see real doubtful humans not meek lambs. We see their challenging way to the Holiness and all effort Jesus put into his disciples. The Scripture says all these things happened to be true. We really needed a sincere show which portrays Jesus along with his apostles from human perspective. I cannot imagine better series which covers as much Bible as it can.
That shot when the guys pick up Noa all excited and jumping, would’ve been cool to add something like that in the scene when they dance at the wedding. It was so joyful and funny.

Simon was told to deny him. “Thou shalt” Jesus said, in order to preserve Simons life, So he could be the Rock when Christ was gone. Simon attempted to single-handedly fight an entire Roman company, when they came to get Jesus. I don’t think he was afraid to die for Jesus. And Jesus knew that, and told him what to do so that his life would be preserved. Something to think about anyway.
When somebody tells us to do some thing, and we love and respect them, we do that thing even when it’s hard. When somebody tells us what we are going to do, do we not try extra hard to not make that mistake? The three times Peter denied Christ, his life was not at stake, it was so out of character for Simon Peter, unless he was following orders. Again something to think about

Jesus paired them up 2 by 2 because it's a spiritual principle that says, where two or 3 are gathered in my name, I'm an there in the midst! That's why... where 1 can put 1000 to flight, 2 can put 10,000 to flight! It's simple!
I have been watching the chosen again and again, if I am not mistaken I think one important Character has been missing, the onw who will replace Judas Is chariot!. Matthias. According to Acts of Apostles So they nominated two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles. Acts 1:23, 26 NIV
It was dissapointing not to have an episode dedicated to seeing the disciples' pairings. It was done in black and white without dialogue, sort of a prologue to an episode.
Two is the right number. This was probably the hardest path the disciples had to take so far. They should not alone learn to preach, they should learn to cooperate in the work of salvation and to support one another, reminding one another of the Good News. It is a shame how many pastors and clergy today often find themselves alone with everything - as Jesus said in another context "in the beginning it was not like this". The church hierarchies should remember this more often these days.

There is so much in each series, so many little things that you didn’t see, that I have to rewatch episodes many times, to catch it all. The pairing of the disciples was really interesting. I didn’t even think about pairing Judas and Simon, and they both had betrayed Jesus. Thank you to Dallas and all the writers and actors, and everyone who are involved in bringing this series to life. I just can’t thank you enough. It has truly touched my heart, and millions others. May the Lord continue to bless the endeavor.❤️✝️🙏

Jesus is still the same, yesterday, today, and forever! So is the people that follow Jesus. There is no change in the way of Jesus or the doctrine. Nothing added to or taken away. This gospel still survives in it's purity just as Jesus taught. Funny these actors are acting this out but they haven't found it in truth though it still exists today. It is hidden from the wise and prudent and revealed unto babes. The humble and those with honest seeking hearts. I know this pure gospel and its ministry that takes no collection, they leave all behind and give freely giving life and hope to people all over the world. Seek this with a honest heart.

It was crazy to see Philip and Andrew, arguably the nicest guys in the group, thrown out of the city. And to see even Judas having the power to cast out demons, and how even he was part of Jesus' mission--- amazing stuff here!

I’m really really really curious and amazed by Judas’ character. The way he is being portrayed so far , astute and quick minded, but seemed full of faith, makes me wonder so much about his downfall. Thank you Dallas and the chosen for this amazing series

That beginning scene of them doing the two-by-two, it was so artistic. And then George’s face as John was so infectious that you felt the amazement as if you were the one who laid the hands and a miracle happens thru you

To be able to witness the the disciples go out on the mission Jesus sent them on 2 by 2, while being a little scared at first is absolutely captivating. Because we usually only briefly read about it, but don't consider how they all must've felt.

Your portrayal of Little James was very meaningful to me. I, too, deal with issues that have made me feel self-conscious about my ability to be used by God. Thank you for opening yourself up to be vulnerable. It really spoke to me that perhaps, because of my medical issues, I am in a unique position to be used by God in ways that others could not. This really helped strengthen my faith.

God once saved me a good few years ago when I went through a lot of things in my life, I begged and asked God for help, he then directed me to two wonderful ladies at the church and my life changed so much. But I knew there was still something wrong with my life and there was still this darkness inside me, I had to get it out of me asap! And then someone told me about Chosen and this show changed me so much, It brought me closer to Jesus Christ, I have now repented and it's time to serve God, I will do everything in my heart to do so. I told my Dad about it and he is also closer to Jesus Christ.
I never felt so good, I feel this glow and energy around my body, I feel unstoppable because I know God will protect me even more than he did before.
I enjoy reading the bible so much now because it like being in a room, listening and taking life lesson notes

I love what Noah said about how they as actors actually gorw into being the apostles, as actors in this production they are able by their talent to bring the bible and Jesus ministry to life and impact so many people through that I pray they will be abundantly blessed for whatever part they play in bringing Jesus to people's live that would otherwise never have had the oportunity to make that connection, and it is great that it is done with such love and joy for the roles and for each other.

The more I watch and learn about the characters, the actors, and the production's backstories, the more I see the hand of God in this series. I am so grateful I found it years ago. And blessed that I can in my own small way, contribute my loaves and fishes, that others can come to Jesus and God. I hope this show captures more hearts and minds for the glory of God!
I am a walking advertisement for this series. So well thought out and put together. I think most realize that some things not necessarily biblical in the show that glue biblical parts together, but are believable, and could have happened. They also don't take away from the emphasis of the show. Hoping many will watch this that might never open a bible and be transformed.
I absolutely loved getting to hear the thought process behind the pairings and everything that went into the writing/filming of those scenes. Only makes me wish we had even more of the two by two so we could see more 😬

This is what I love about this show, it’s reality that all the disciples were like us at some point in our life. Just like Noah James said “it shows how the disciples grow into being the Apostles”. We in Christ can all relate with our own struggles as we grow in Christ to get deeper in our faith, learning God’s words, finding the confidence to tell others our testimony and leading others to come to know Jesus as their Lord. I love how Jesus is so perfectly portrayed in this show too. Each time I read scripture during my Bible study I am more aware of how each person in scriptures were real people with everyday lives. The Chosen has helped me to see in scripture what I never saw before, the reality of each person’s life during biblical years. Best show ever!!! Thanking God for all the staff and actors/actresses as their portray the greatest history stories ever told.

What I like most about "The Chosen" is how the story is being told. There have been many, many movies about Jesus' life, but they have all been told from the center with everyone around Christ as extra characters. This is different.
"The Chosen" is still Christ centric, as it should be, but it's about Jesus through the eyes of those He chose and those who knew Him. We see ordinary, everyday people from fishermen, farmers, and tax collectors transform into followers, then desciples, and finally apostles. We see how His mother, His cousins, His friends, and those not so friendly react to His mission.
This is by far the best telling about the life of Christ.
And the disciples are regular, normal people that were scared, nervous, felt insecure many times. Not like the stoic image that I was used to see in other movies about Jesus’s life. The same goes with the way they portray Jesus. He’s sweet, funny… It’s not that I never liked other portrayals of Jesus, but “this Jesus” is the one I know. 😉
Imagine pairing up a tax collector & a zealot😂 Paras Patel & alaa safi were my favorites and I was so happy to see their friendly approach towards each other on the set & in the series❤️

Wow! I just finished binge watching season 3 up to now and I must say that this season has been incredible! The actors caught the emotion of the scriptures! Something that's difficult to do.
This is the perfect cast! I'm now awaiting to see Zacceus (maybe he might know Matthew), the centurion soldier miracle, the demon possessed man Legion, the woman caught in adultery, etc. so much more to show for this series! You guys are literally bringing the Bible to life in video format! Can't wait to see the season finale!

I would be so touched if that were true; Frankfurt am Main is my hometown, the idea that a disciple / apostle of Jesus would have preached and died here is incredible...
It would have been AWESOME to start the Two by Two episode with John touching someone's ears, healing them, and when he pulls away, THEN the audio comes in!
It was odd to see it filmed in black and white but then it felt surreal to me like I was with each apostle doing what they were sent to do? When they all got together and spoke of their experiences 2x2, they sounded like it was surreal to them as well. When ever I watch THE CHOSEN, I put myself in the actors place and think of what it must have been like for any of them to be apostles of Jesus. Especially Jesus' mother knowing it would be soon that he would die. As a mother how do you get thru that? Think of the weight Jesus carried knowing he would die horribly for man. That's a lonely person. How I praise him, honor and glorify him .♥️🇺🇸❤️🙏❤️😭

The Chosen is the first long tv series on Jesus and the first one told from very human and contemporary perspective.
I really like joking Jesus who likes to spent time with other people. I like lack of special effects when Jesus performs miracles. Of course the divine nature is the most important but I really appreciate seeing Jesus as human as he can.
The Chosen is a very realistic and natural show based on relationships between characters.
I love frictions between disciples, their diversity, their harsh background and past. And then Jesus comes to fix their relationships and to make them one. Jesus who appears in the hottest moment to soothe them all.
At last we see real doubtful humans not meek lambs. We see their challenging way to the Holiness and all effort Jesus put into his disciples.
The Scripture says all these things happened to be true.
We really needed a sincere show which portrays Jesus along with his apostles from human perspective.
I cannot imagine better series which covers as much Bible as it can.
That shot when the guys pick up Noa all excited and jumping, would’ve been cool to add something like that in the scene when they dance at the wedding. It was so joyful and funny.

Yeah. Simon Peter denied Jesus three times.
Simon was told to deny him. “Thou shalt” Jesus said, in order to preserve Simons life, So he could be the Rock when Christ was gone. Simon attempted to single-handedly fight an entire Roman company, when they came to get Jesus. I don’t think he was afraid to die for Jesus. And Jesus knew that, and told him what to do so that his life would be preserved. Something to think about anyway.
When somebody tells us to do some thing, and we love and respect them, we do that thing even when it’s hard. When somebody tells us what we are going to do, do we not try extra hard to not make that mistake? The three times Peter denied Christ, his life was not at stake, it was so out of character for Simon Peter, unless he was following orders. Again something to think about

Jesus paired them up 2 by 2 because it's a spiritual principle that says, where two or 3 are gathered in my name, I'm an there in the midst! That's why... where 1 can put 1000 to flight, 2 can put 10,000 to flight! It's simple!
I have been watching the chosen again and again, if I am not mistaken I think one important Character has been missing, the onw who will replace Judas Is chariot!. Matthias. According to Acts of Apostles So they nominated two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

It was dissapointing not to have an episode dedicated to seeing the disciples' pairings. It was done in black and white without dialogue, sort of a prologue to an episode.
Ah... could be like in other episode where they went into the future in black and white.
Two is the right number. This was probably the hardest path the disciples had to take so far. They should not alone learn to preach, they should learn to cooperate in the work of salvation and to support one another, reminding one another of the Good News. It is a shame how many pastors and clergy today often find themselves alone with everything - as Jesus said in another context "in the beginning it was not like this". The church hierarchies should remember this more often these days.

There is so much in each series, so many little things that you didn’t see, that I have to rewatch episodes many times, to catch it all. The pairing of the disciples was really interesting. I didn’t even think about pairing Judas and Simon, and they both had betrayed Jesus. Thank you to Dallas and all the writers and actors, and everyone who are involved in bringing this series to life. I just can’t thank you enough. It has truly touched my heart, and millions others. May the Lord continue to bless the endeavor.❤️✝️🙏

Jesus is still the same, yesterday, today, and forever! So is the people that follow Jesus. There is no change in the way of Jesus or the doctrine. Nothing added to or taken away. This gospel still survives in it's purity just as Jesus taught. Funny these actors are acting this out but they haven't found it in truth though it still exists today. It is hidden from the wise and prudent and revealed unto babes. The humble and those with honest seeking hearts. I know this pure gospel and its ministry that takes no collection, they leave all behind and give freely giving life and hope to people all over the world. Seek this with a honest heart.
Love how the story is being told the chosen series has gotten me to understand more about Jesus n wanting me to get closer to God I'm so thankful I found it n the actors real names are so unique n beautiful
