Thank you for the response to this incredible cover from Dan. Having battled depression himself for a time, he knows what he's talking about. The power in the voice and the emotion that is in this cover for him, he just expresses it phenomenally. When you think that he recorded this song 8 years ago, wow,wow,wow.... I really hope Dan re-records “Heart of Steel” for the new Manowar album and hopefully Battle Hymn will be on it too.
Dan has been very open about his struggles with depression and frequently covers songs that express encouragement to fight this scourge. This is a wonderful cover and always makes me feel so strong. Thanks for your reaction.
Touching words from Dan and a brilliant cover of this Manowar song! His voice was already incredibly powerful 8 years ago! Thank you for your great reaction! 😊
I love your reaction to this heart-wrenching performance. He looks so distraught throughout, yet manages a fierce expressiveness that’s always under control. And, as you say, even years ago he already sounded so great. Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this amazing rendition from Dan. He has spoken several times about his battles with depression when he was younger and I am so grateful that he is so open about it. As you said it is so important that if one is feeling these thoughts please try to seek help, there are so many people who are there for you, just don’t give up we need you. : )
Such a heartfelt rendition of this song by Dan as only Dan can do! Never knew of Dan eight years ago but so glad that I eventually did get to see his "Amazing Grace" on April 2023 coz it's been a life changing experience, he's the best singer/performer imo!❤❤ Thankyou😃
It's so great that Dan speaks up about depression as he does on several of his videos. Thanks for showing this wonderful song. I agree it's one of Manowar's best songs.
It's quite a bit of fun to watch Dan's old videos, and see how he has progressed vocally, but certainly also how his recordings has improved a LOT, both audibly and visually. Not that i think this one is bad, but i do hope he will do a remake of this one some day - maybe in the making of his Manowar tribute album. It is an incredibly beautiful, and powerful metalballad, and while he really did an awesome job with it back then, i think he could make it even more magnificent, with the power he can put behind his voice today, and also musically he has the ability today to make it, (maybe with Victor or Garrett), into a true masterpiece that could go absolutely viral.
This song is fantastic and our voice king is DAN TASTIC, tks
Thanks for showing this. It makes me feel stronger.
