2025 Honda Civic RS JDM Spec With Manual Transmission

The 2025 Honda Civic has experienced significant changes, particularly in the United States where the 1.5-liter turbo engine is now exclusive to the sedan-only Si model. However, the Japanese market tells a different story, with the hatchback retaining this powertrain. Excitingly, Japan also receives the new Civic RS variant, featuring a manual transmission and several mechanical enhancements.
The Civic RS is equipped with a rev-matching function and a lighter flywheel, which Honda claims enhances engine responsiveness for a more engaging driving experience. Additionally, the RS boasts larger front brakes and a stiffer steering torsion bar to improve handling. The suspension has been stiffened, resulting in the hatchback sitting 0.2 inches lower.
For the 2025 model year, the Civic RS, exclusively sold in Japan, benefits from new dampers and bushings. The exterior features 18-inch black wheels, red RS badging, and an updated front bumper, with chrome accents replaced by black trim.
Inside, the Civic RS showcases red stitching and a leather-wrapped aluminum shift knob. Honda has also added extra Sport and Individual driving modes.
While the Civic RS is not as powerful as the Si sedan, it offers a unique combination of a manual transmission and mechanical upgrades. Unfortunately, this desirable configuration will only be available in Japan, leaving enthusiasts elsewhere envious.
