I own maybe 180 bottles of perfume and around 1,000+ samples and decants. I used to write perfume reviews. That said I find myself gravitating to old comfy autumnal favorites this time of year. I put away Delina, all the Amouages, Florabotanica and Clive X. What i love now are more gourmand, a little stronger, some amber and patchouli. I happily pull out sweater weather favorites Coco Mademoiselle, Alien (original), Chergui, L'Heure Bleu, Bond No. 9 Chinatown (which smells like a fortune cookie on me), and Lost Cherry. Estee Lauder is buying Tom Ford so stock up on favorites before they are reformulated or discontinued.

I just recently bought Mon Guerlain EDP during the Sephora sale and it's a perfect everyday winter fragrance for me because its both fresh and clean / non-offensive as well as super cozy and comforting. It has a heaviness to it like a thick, fluffy blanket wrapped around me. I probably wouldn't wear this in hot weather because I think its just too heavy for that. But its perfect right now for work! It's not loud, but I catch whiffs of it all day. It sort of creates a soothing haze of vanilla and lavender, but the lavender is womanly smelling. This perfume is definitely not masculine. I love it!

Have you tried any of the Byredo fragrances? I am really liking black saffron and Mojave ghost lately. I’m in Florida so seasonal perfumes don’t really apply, but for other climates I could definitely see the Heretic Dirty Santa, Dirty Vanilla, and Dirty Hinoki. Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee, also. Actually, your Jo Malone grapefruit gives me (specifically outdoor) winter vibes, too, with the crisp citrus and bitter notes.

I'm in Australia so our seasons are swapped and we're heading into Summer. For winter, my two big scents were Baccarat Rouge 540, and By the Fireplace by Replica. For Spring/Summer, I've quite enjoyed Nectarine Blossom and Honey by Jo Malone (though I find it has no staying power). Also quite like L'Homme A La Rose by Maison Kurkdjian which is like a somewhat more masculine spicy rose which smells so sexy to me.

Portrait of a Lady is my #1 favorite! I wear it all year as I can’t seem to have enough of it since I purchased! I have the shower cream, body oil, hand cream and body butter lol and they’re ALL amazing! FM is currently my fav perfume brand-just so good!

I’m not a huge fan of oud at times but this is definitely up there
The saffron really stands out on me and my skin adapts to the rose first then the shift to saffron and the Oudh
It’s definitely a date evening fragrance that has a sultry elegance to it
Michelle have you tried any of the juice from Memo Paris? I have Tamarindo and it is beyond fabulous. I think you’d also really like their Leather series. I’m in love with this house as I think they push boundaries ❤Jus de Rose has a fantastic video on all their fragrances.
I have some probably obvious takes on winter frags: for cocooning cashmere-sweater comfort, I use L'eau d'hiver by Frédéric Malle or Fleur de Peau by Dyptique. For sexy "3rd date", I love Coco Mademoiselle Intense (NOT the regular CM). Aesop's Hwyl is a great wood fire/winter forest option.
Jo Malone Vetiver and Golden Vanilla for me, it’s smoky and dark, just amazing along with Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille of course x
As soon as the temps dropped I busted out Portrait of a Lady, Oud for Greatness, and Angel’s Share. Although maybe not traditionally what I would consider a winter scent, I have also been enjoying Meliora from Parfums de Marly. The sweetness is a little too cloying in the heat but in the winter I enjoy it. And I now need to add Kilian’s Rose Oud to my list of scents to check out. I am also hoping to check out some scents from Roja this winter. I’ve heard good things about them.
BTW, what shade of lipstick you are wearing? It looks fantastic on you!
I need to get out and smell. I only have 3 I’m a fruity floral , I can do bergamot sandlewood, some patchouli. Mugler Angel Gourmand Patchouli i can wear My skin turns the Baccarat 549 smells like bug spray on me 😮😮😅I need to spray before I buy Some of your scents sound so nice tho

I love your fragrance videos! Portrait Of A Lady is a favorite of mine, but I don’t get quite the smokiness that you do. It’s so interesting how unique the sense of smell is. My current favorite is By Kilian Angel’s Share.
Love fragrance videos ❤ I love a dark and rich scent for winter. I have Oud for Greatness, and use it in regular rotation. I also really enjoy PDM Haltane, similar but sweeter. Tom Ford Rose Prick, Black Orchid and Bitter Peach are some of my faves too. Hoping to pick up BDK Gris Charnel next!

Thank you for your suggestions! I am going to order the travel size of Portrait of a Lady to test it out. I've been enjoying Dear Polly and Poets of Berlin by Vilhelm and Jake's House on days that I prefer something light. On days that I can tolerate something heavy, I'll use a very small amount of Angel's Share or Baccarat 540, but very little, as they can become overwhelming quickly.

Most "everyday" perfumes seem to be super spring/summery. I'm a stay at home mom but love perfume so would love to find an everyday winter scent that isn't overly "sexy" :)
My current favourite is Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy Intense. It is Iris , Tonka bean and fig. At first spray I was not impressed but when it settles on my skin …. Wow !!!

Try Ambre Nuit from Dior. Very well done, but doesn't last very long.

Angel's Share, Jazz Club, Black Opium, Cashmere Mist are my favorites for Fall/Winter 🙂
I just put Cashmere Mist on my Christmas list. I had it years ago and loved it.
The perfume I’ve been loving lately is the the Baccarat Rouge 540, Christian Dior’s Ambre Nuit and Gris Dior. Summer time I like the Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey, Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil although both don’t last long.
I recommend Jo Malone Oud and Bergamot. 💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
I think you would enjoy the Bottega Veneta eau de parfum with the rose beigy leather strap at the top. A beautiful handmade bottle as well! It is my favourite perfum and it reminds me a bit of the Gris Dior. 🙂
Hi Michele, if you like leather scents, you should try Spirito Fiorentino by Tiziana Terenzi. Actually any and all of their perfumes smell amazing and have very long staying power. The brand started as candle makers, so they also still have candles as well.
I am a fan of most Dior fragrances, but am unfamiliar with Dior Gris. I’ll have to check it out, along with your other recommendations!

Hi Michele, I loved your recommendations as we have very similar tastes! My latest discovery is Guerlain Les Absolus d'Orient line, particularly the orange bottle one, Bois Mysterieux.
In the winter I like No 5 edp or parfum, Musc Elixir Dior, Cologne Blanche Dior, Thé Yulong Armani and Sycomore parfum Chanel.
Hi Michele. I just picked up The Apple Brandy parfum from Kilian for my husband. It smells so nice, that I've been using it. Apparently it's unisex. Really nice.
Hypnotizing Fire sounds amazing. The Gris Dior also sounds incredible.
On a whim, I grabbed the Baccarat Rouge 540. I'm on the fence about it. I still cling to my Versace Crystal Noir. Old habits are hard to break!

What does Apple Brandy smell like to you, Rene? I was thinking of picking it up for my boyfriend this Christmas but none of the stores near me have testers for it!
@@Kat-VT it's hard to say. I smell more of the Brandy. It's a bit sweet, definitely not overwhelming so. I do smell a hint of the apple. A bit of vanilla, and a bit spicy. Definitely unisex. It's not cloying, but rather subtle, but so nice!

You should try Une Rose from Federic Malle. In my opinion it’s one of the best dark rose perfumes.

If you're going to be in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving weekend be ready for big crowds. If your driving from Southern California and leaving Las Vegas on that Sunday(3 days after Thanksgiving) then get on the road NO later than 8am or you will be stuck in traffic for hours coming back home. Try Ysl babycat and Guerlain Shalimar Millisime Tonka, both are hard to find but nothing is impossible to you when it comes to luxury. We need your review on this for Michelle Wang approved recommendation. ❤️
