Initially, I thought it was an RC Plane mishap until I saw the huge fireball after the B17 hit the ground! I sat there in disbelief as I watched vids from a few other channels!
Canary Islands Air Show accident is crazy because I feel like I can feel the pilots thought process. You can tell that he knows the aircraft lost control and went upside down but he’s trying not to panic and figure out what to do. So he starts doing an inverted climb but when tries gain back control he loses it. I would’ve sh*t my pants in that situation, he did his very best that he could. Rest in peace to everyone involved. 🙏🏼
There is an entry that should have been in here which you missed. The Shorham Airshow crash of 2015 in the UK where the pilot crashed onto a main road killing 11 people.
Where is the Shoreham Air Show disaster of 2015? 11 people were killed when a military plane came down on a road and burst into flames, engulfing cars and spectators. Surely this has to be included.

Since I live in Germany and air shows are prohibited over dense populated areas (after Ramstein), I was so surprised to see 5 jets flying over the CBD of Melbourne 😨. Imagine what would happen if they crash... 🕊

We got to go up inside a Lockheed C5! I was surprised to see that there was seating for about 20 passengers! I waa only 9 but I remember it well! The show was at Dulles Airport in Virginia!!
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the B52 mishap in 1994; although that was just a rehearsal. The lead pilot was LTC Bud Holland who had a reputation of being cocky, arrogant and reckless. His recklessness caused the B52 to bank beyond 90 degrees, stall and crash, killing Holland and his crew. Years later, a similar crash of a cargo type military plane. Can't remember what...just a big 4 engine beast for hauling stuff.
19th century human industry was incredible. Using Earthly fuel sources to power engines. Now’s about time we use Solar power everything. That way there’s be no explosions when things crash!
From what I've heard they now have banned doing the pirced heart formation at Rimstine due to this accident at the altitude they were performing when the accident happened and the maneuver has been modified to prevent that from ever happing again
I’m not a military pilot or a pilot at all. But if your going to race or fly your plane in an air show then you must follow the rules. And if you don’t you must be ready to take ur plane down all the way and even give ur own life so you don’t take anymore with your mistake. I praise Jeff Kuss a marine pilot with the blue angels. He brought his plane down in an empty field giving his own life to protect his fellow Americans. This was not even a mile from my house.

Why is it.... in any situation when many die through a horrible accidents or by negligence/human error, whether its on the road or inn the sky.. those who cause the accidents always seem to live or come out way better than everyone's. WHY IS THAT !!.. A Crazy person plows through a crossroad junction at really high speeds hits a car or two... then a huge explosion victims/family in those vehicles ( GONE ). After the speeding vehicle finally comes to stop after plowing though traffic.. the driver gets out !! Or doesn't, but he/she sustains bordline zero injuries incomparison to the accident they created... What is life.... if nothing but unfair (The Ying & Yang balance is WAY OFF)
when I saw some documentation about Sknyliv air show, If I remember correctly wasnt pilots fault, not at all at least. Many rules were violated by event organizators and mechanicist... maybe someone can correct me
Airshows are inherently extremely dangerous for both pilots and spectators...and even for those in the area who are not participating at all (i.e. people chilling in their homes, people at ice cream parlors, people just passing by in their cars on the way from point A to point B, etc.) Yet, they are still held all over the world like nothing bad ever happened. How do we still have the airshows and reduce the potential for disaster?

6 deaths is already bad for an airshow, the first 3 incidents in this list caused many deaths because the planes crashed amidst the crowd.

The Farnborough Airshow crash of a prototype Sea Vixen in the 1950s should have been included. Sadly dozens died in that crash.
