    Why does it get stuck

  • @nevilletracks4522
    @nevilletracks4522 2 года назад +6

    Been using mine for four years now. Was finally able to get the side discharge unit last year. (Availability of that unit is very spotty at best.) I feel like I get a lot more time out of the mower when I don't use the bagger and just let it mulch the grass (or use the side discharge unit.) I get a sense that stopping and starting the mower to empty the bag wastes battery power, but I've never watched a timer to see for sure if my sense is actually right. I've replaced the blade once and bought a couple spare keys and a couple extra knobs for the handle. I've had a couple of those come loose and mysteriously disappear into my lawn someplace. For the price, I don't think you can find a better mower.

    • @Jeep-Creep
      @Jeep-Creep  2 года назад +1

      I bet you are on to something with run time with a side discharge vs bag. The bagger uses the motor and blades to push the clippings into the bag and when it gets closer to full it starts to back up a little into the deck again. So I bet there is less strain by shooting all the clippings out instead of pushing them and cutting them a bunch. I too am very happy with the build quality and price. I think it’s a lot of mower for the money.

    Thank you for this. I’m buying my first mower. My yard is 10k sq ft (with the house on it) and pretty nasty looking with rocks and debris that I try to clear as much as possible. Also patchy grass & bald sandy patches. I’m so nervous but this helps

    • @Jeep-Creep
      @Jeep-Creep  2 года назад

      Well like I said in my review you should get 1300sq ft in the worst conditions. I bet you can easily triple my numbers. This mower is pretty awesome. If you have not ultra thick grass like I do like you said and cut it dry vs wet lawn like I did, you should be totally fine! If you haven’t bought one yet get it from Amazon, they have the best return policy, shipping, customer experience, etc. also I get a credit too which helps me out a ton. amzn.to/3QncGyF

    I managed to get one for $74 on a deal. But it only lasted slightly longer than 1 season. First the screws that mount the motor to the plastic body backed out, then the motor started acting like the brushes were worn out. I might attempt to take the electric motor apart.

    I have this one, it stopped working 15 minutes after the first start and hasn't worked since. I charged the battery as instructed before first use, recharged after it died in case that may have the issue.. it wasn't. Contacted Sunjoe for help troubleshooting they said it needed returned but couldn't replace it because they had none in stock and to take it into Walmart. Walmart won't take it back, but did refund me my money. Now i have a brand new lawnmower in its box not getting used because idk what to do with it or how to fix it. 😒 Irritated is an understatement. 160 bucks down the drain ..

    • @Jeep-Creep
      @Jeep-Creep  2 года назад +1

      I can't tell you exactly what the 100% right thing is to do as I threw out the instructions. BUT I do leave my safety key in ALL the time. I will advise this, under no circumstances would I attempt to use the mower while it is charging though, I think it would be bad for both the battery and charger. Also I think the safety key is also a child safety thing, so that's my 2 cents on it.

      Ok, good to know. I honestly think its just a safety key is all. How do you like it? I have a big yard but I use it for cutting my dogs area and trim around the house mainly and works great for me.

      @@Jeep-Creep I love it! I just wish the charge held a little longer. I at least wanted to cut my front yard in one go, but I still have a little patch left. I have about .25 acres but my back yard is halfway covered with grass at best.

    • @Jeep-Creep
      @Jeep-Creep  2 года назад

      @@artsycoder533 Great to hear it, yeah I cut a very small 20x30 section easy. .25 acre might be its limit. I love it, I do wish the charge was also a little longer, or if it had a swappable battery like other mowers for doubling its daily use. I mean for the price, you cannot beat it's build quality at all.

      Well this will be the second season for me on my battery one, stay tuned and I will let ya know how it goes... For sure I wouldnt use this for a larger yard, its a smaller mower, but I feel like its a decent build quality. Unlike a gas engine there are next to no moving parts, less to fail and wear out. Electrical motors tend to be very reliable and last a long time.
