Hear Hear. Recently I had the chance to listen to The Getaway again. I can even argue that it was a better record than the recent two. Josh's legacy overtime will be more emphasized. And I hope the Chili Peppers would cement his legacy by playing his material live. There are at least a handful of josh era songa that deserve to be porformed.
@verycheesyrat all because of a phone, smdh. I used to love him but I was in a bad accident a few months back and I have no respect for him now, because the driver that almost took us out was on his phone too.
Had any one listened to the final solo of Factory of Faith csrefully? That was a complete spiral of the guitar sounds...one of JK masterpieces And the very underrated track Even You Brutus? As a whole...
john probably suit rhcp better but josh isnt bad at all. josh gives rhcp something that soundslike youth. i hear more melodic from josh. josh need his own band for sure. dark necessities is josh masterpiece for me . :)
the coolest thing about josh is that he had no freshness in playing the rhcp songs of the other guitarists, I doubt if jonh will play any songs from the album in which Josh was the guitarist.
@@heeerka I am very serious xD. Yeah, great John is back, he took RHCP to the next level back in the days (overall is a musical genius), but similar thing happened when Josh joined them (just my honest opinion, I respect the fact that some people might think otherwise). I respect and like John, but also feel as if his comeback was forced in some way, he feels burned-out for me (does not mean he does not have good ideas). Comparing the last four albums, I more often come back to I'm With You and The Gateway than the Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen. Josh brought something fresh to the group, and it definitely worked. I do miss Josh in the Peppers and I wish his exit happened differently after a decade he spent with them.
Rhcp are gunna regret trading Josh for John, he was never given a chance to truley open up, as a guitarist myself that idolised John, I can honestly say I think Josh has more in the tank and John is gunna sadly let them down once again, I know this man, he will unfortunately
That’s a ridiculous statement Dan. Josh is a talented player and will go onto achieve more. But what flea and John have musically is a one in a million collaboration where it just flows and chad solid beat and Anthony’s lyrics, I have no doubt John is still fresh enough to come back and achieve far more with the chillis than Josh can!!
@@kriswoodward7623 don't know if I'd go as far as to say its ridiculous but your entitled to your angle on it. John and flea had chemistry for sure but that comes with playing together for so long. I just don't think they utilised Josh for everything he's worth, he had shit that John didn't, main attribute is that he was focused and committed. I love John, he was brilliant, so was Josh but in different ways. Im a guitarist of 25 years and I would honestly pick Josh for my band
Personally i think John is the guitarist but he never seems happy in the band and Josh always puts in the most effort and always is happy i think they should have kept josh and see him improve!
I really love the fact that RHCP is only a bass, guitar, drums and vocal but I'd love to hear both John and Josh on at least one record. If they where to double track each other, that would be very very interesting.
yeah i feel like that too, i don’t feel that ‘oomph’ when it comes to josh’s solos, john obviously is a more technical guitarist than josh is but still i like josh’s ideas, they sound fresh and snazzy
Josh was not a substitute for John. He was a REAL Chilli Pepper!
He was, yes he was.

@@serajmehrabkhani7333 agree and hope. But John never played Navaro songs... Who knows..
He's not a lead guitarist. He's a rhythm guitarist. Would love to see him back, doing backups only.
Josh Klinghoffer ladies and gentlemen . Not be missed cause he's still hitting hard in pearl jam 🤘
yeah he's def hitting hard...

True Peppers fans don't blame Josh
Josh is underrated
How so?
@Rodion Raskolnikow he is on Pearl Jam now
Seems overated to me and very sloppy..
the peppers always have great guitarist
love josh and john both are amazing guitarrists
some Dark Necessities solos definitely have some space here, but yeah, great selection
oh my goshy the first one gave me those goosebumps
wet sand, the best chili Peppers song
2:52 man that triplet drum roll 🔥🤯
Bro that Californication jam is up there with even some of johns best shit is killer
i was so close to him yesterday when I saw Jane's Addiction live. Great musician. Very professional
Great Selection. He plays better every time. Love Nobody weird like me solo, in Zurich last year was amazing.
2:10 there’s so much going on here , Josh’s sick use of the pedals, chads drumstick , Anthony’s singing sounds and fleas singing
2:35 pumped with good headphones, thank me later
I love RHCP, love Anthony,Chad,Flea, John and Josh ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯
8:17 got moves

I miss josh
his solo style is spastic strumming
His Groove is good
Un grande josh! !!!!!!!!!
ジョシュがいたから、若々しさや、元気さがあったと思う。
Can we get a new one of Josh please? I would have picked the same first two songs but from different concerts I've watched that I feel are better.
That wet sand solo is the best outro solo I’ve heard for this song, including johns🤭
Cmon dude

Super montage!
This Californication Jam is fucking underrated
He's like the perfect marriage between John frusciante and jimi hendrix
Between John and Josh, I still prefer Chad Smith. What was that at 2:36???
Nice Video man!
Weird thought, but can one not have two guitarists in the same band?
Damn... I miss Josh in the Peppers...

The same story like John inspired by Slovak, Josh with John as well

Now they will never play the stuff from I’m with you and getaway
Thanks god
@the poster. So you've posted a video of Josh Klinghoffer's best live jams. And taken them from 2 concerts and said they're you're favourite
Please tell me, what kind of guitar does Josh have in the third song?
A Gibson Firebird I would say
Josh’s solo in raindance maggie has Jimmy page vibes
he is different from JF but at the same lvl
Imo 1. Tampere 2012 Give it away 💪💪💪💪
One of the best guitar player of all times.
🤣
yeah ok
Doesn't ever and will never come close
What’s the second song ??
Josh’s solo from Raindance Maggie has Jimmy page vibes
Where is the sick love~

he is good but i don´t know why i don´t like his solos, at least i didn´t like his wet sand solo
Edit: i liked the aeroplane solo

There is something that doesn't really convince me but he's great
He is another good guitar player of the many in the world

Apparently everyone here in this comment section has very bad hearing. 👉😖👈
Should have kept Josh. Put ‘em both on the future albums together. The new album is TERRRRIBLE.
The problema with Josh is that u Just dont use ur mate's style, is bad manners
Umm... what?! He freaking BUTCHERED that Wet Sand solo... Surely there has to be a better version?
There are plenty of better Wet Sand solos from Josh. Not sure why the uploader chose this one.
John is better
equals to John's top 5 worst solos
🤦
josh is a drummer btw
John fits better in the RHCP, Josh is better than Dave
