Like when the Beatles gave up touring live shows, made recordings only possible to make in a studio, yet still made videos to illustrate the recordings. IMO it's not cheating, it's just Art. TV shows with instruments not plugged in go back to the Fifties. I don't mind, but in my Playlists, I favour actual live performances, Even Pop artists like Taylor Swift can show they are themselves Musicians. and not backing track posers.

I was thinking the same, then I thought the distorted guitar and sax were mixed waaaayyy too loud so its hugely diatracting. The two girls don't seem to be able to sync up their voices proberly, like their timing is off because they probably cant hear each other over those overly loud backing instruments.
@tmallo1 : Probably because some of the TV appearances are copyrighted or ABBA are not satisfied with the live quality. They are perfectionists after all and there are always critics too.

There were (as far as I know) days that union rules made playback kind of illegal for it would rob musicians from their income, so the performances had to be live with TV-studio musicians. So there is (short) period all performances on the BBC were live.
What a nice video. It´s kind of funny the live sound of it. Anna was a little pitchy, Frida was just right. I think that lowering the key made it sound a little bit heavy. How beautiful they were.
