    Originally, this was called the "Ultra Mental" deck. There is also a version called "Brainwave". The difference is Brainwave has the cards face down from the spectators point of view, and when the reversed card is revealed, its back is a different color than the rest of the deck.

    Always have another standard bicycle deck in your pocket. After the trick is done put the invisible deck in the same pocket. You shouldn't have problem with that, because spectators ask questions after amazement goes away. If they want to examine the deck, just pull out standard deck. This simple deck switch works like magic ;)
    And don't forget about the 1st rule: never show the same trick to the same spectators.

    • @AdaptivePhenix
      @AdaptivePhenix Год назад +1

      Yup....been doing same for 30+ years but I also have a simple trick for standard cards which always baffles. When they ask to examine the cards, I pull out the standard deck, invite them to shuffle and then blow them away with the other trick.
      Two or three ladies, sitting at the bar and you'd like to get to know one of them? "excuse me but I detect a psychic connection, would you mind if I perform a test?" _This_ is when the magic _really_ happens. Guys tend to get pi$$ed-off with frustration, though. 🤣😂

      ROTTER tube Reef Its nothing to do with how much the trick was. You still need to be able to preform the trick well, which takes skill. Yes anyone can buy a £9 trick but not everyone will be able to pull it off or do it well.

    I just discovered that sanding the backs of the cards down using a very fine grit works just as well, if not better because you're etching the roughness into the cards so there's nothing to rub off after many uses.

    This trick absolutely blows people's minds.... :-) And it hits best exactly the way he does it---i.e., just "name a card" (without weird patter)... But I disagree--you can do it twice for max effect. (The risk of them asking to inspect it < than the shock value if you do it twice) But then ya gotta scram!

    @tAz98kid It's just one deck, but specially made so the cards have rough backs so they're held together by friction. You just match them up correctly so you can pull them apart when you know which card you want to take.

    Anyone confused about how this works look here:
    Go through the deck and pair 2 cards together, which numbers add to 13 (Jack=11, Queen=12, King=13, Ace=1). (King pairs up with itself i'm assuming) EXAMPLE: (11+2=13 so Jacks and 2s pair up)
    In terms of suits, Spades pair with Hearts (because they look the same) and Clubs pair with Diamonds. EXAMPLE: (Jack of Hearts would pair with 2 of Spades because Jack=>2 and Hearts=>Spades)
    The pairs should have their backs towards each other so that they face opposite directions. Some sort of spray is put onto the back of the cards to stop them from sliding out of place.

  • @ssankoo
    @ssankoo 15 лет назад

    you can also use VERY little glue on 2 corners, (right above/left down), then you can split them, and becouse its on the back of the cards, they won't notice it when you do it one time. (or flip the card with your fingers covering up the glue)

    @robertryan99 the turned over cards are stuck to the fanned out cards in the pattern he mentioned. When you fan them out, half the deck is turned over, but you cant see them because of the rough backs (the friction keeps you from separating them completely). You then just use a thumb to pry them apart showing only the back of the one card you want.

    I lile to pair this deck with the marked deck. I let somebody choose a card blindly from the marked deck, remember it. I at the same time look at the markings and determine what card it is. Then I let them to put the card back in the marked deck but upside down.
    After that there are several ways how they can “flip” the same card upside down in the invisible deck: telekinesis, thinking about it, hitting on it etc. And then you open the deck and wow the same card is upside down!

    i severely damaged my cards, but i think i did the drying process wrong? my cards clump together okay, but the back of every single card is white from where i sprayed the finish. i was a far enough distance away, but to dry, i placed the 2 cards together wet, and pulled apart when dried, was this my error?

    i recently learned the the words "street" and "magic" were words put together mainly to advertise some tricks to amature magicians. point being is that almost all magic is "street" magic, if you dont have at least 2 camera men and a boom mic, usually people would think its a bit creepy if you were to walk up to them, and in their face just ask them
    "do you want to see a card trick?"
    or just fanning a deck in their face and telling them to pick a card.

    the best way to store the cards in the box is to put the odd side facing the spade on the box because of the 'ace of spades' which is considered 1 which is odd

    1st of all u'll need rough back cards..can either get the roughing fluid and do it urself..or could buy it straight off from the shelf..
    next (with the rough back cards) u'll need to hold it firmly and not worry about it slipping..cuz the backs are rougher than the faces so it'll come sliding naturally..
    just some tips cuz i had the same problems with my 1st invisible deck =) cheers~

    hey you can also just put a little bit of dirty sticky tape on the back of each card so they stick together a little and just make sure to push the card out not enough to show tape when face down and flip up and your clean mostly.

    actually this trick can be bought, wherein the back of the cards are rough(ish) so that it doesnt move much or at all but you have to hold them tight..
