I know this is a late reply but, I imagine their thought process because, considering the events of the Guilty Gear universe and the fact that most people of direct Japanese descent have died to tragedy, she feels out of place in time and an exile as a result of that. Not many people left that follow her customs+know much of her battle techniques and stuff like that. If you think of it that way you might understand better why she feels like an exile.
