I've been a monte main since I returned to siege. Imo what's broken is how forgiving the melee window is. If you shield bash too early and they melee your shield, it still doesn't break your guard. My guard has been broken once this season.
if you spam melee on shields noone can melee you, even if the shield melee animation doesn't show up. if you have a melee spam macro you will be unmeleeable

Yeah it makes it impossible to melee a shield, oryx is the only one who can knock them back now
