MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME SUKHUMVIT 11 NANA!!!!!!!!! I used to live in Citadines back in Aug 2022! Was AWESOME! Food everywhere, metro, malls within walking distance, and no geckos or snakes! LOL! Enjoy!!!!!!!
I hate big cities, and I think the best thing about them is that you can get out of them quickly. BUT, there are actually two cities I like, no. 1: Bangkok and 2: London. Bangkok is very special with the big shopping centers and if you turn down a soi, it's like coming to another planet where people live their own lives, with small stalls and shops and the life on the rivers is truly worth experiencing.

Well I think Bangkok Subway stations and overall the city is a lot safer compared to USA 😊

Bangkok sure is a spectacular place! We were just there a couple of weeks ago! We paid EMSPHERE a visit & it was like 3 shopping malls in one. the Emporium and the Helix was pretty awesome with lots of fancy food options 😊 Thanks for sharing this video guys….this makes us miss Bangkok ❤
Hey Chuck! I’m so glad to know that you enjoy Jamaican food! I’m originally from Kingston Jamaica and when I finally get to Thailand his restaurant will be on my itinerary! I also have the same problem with my thumbs bc I used to work as an admin clerk for 10 years before going into management. I feel your pain and discomfort! 😊

I loved that area and Silom in Bangkok. A really good budget hotel near the airport is the Golden Foyer Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel.
It has a nice local market right outside and Old Hua Takhe market down the road 5 min walk. A must see for foodies and history.
I always stay in Lat Krabang, near the AirPort. All the hotels have shuttle service

The years traveling to Thailand and only spending 5/6 nights in Bangkok tops , like Graham says(previous comment ) it hits you in the face and it put me off instantly if i'm honest ..But if i had the time i'd love to experience it fully now ,Probably get lost along the way .Thanks for Sharing 🙏

Like you Chuck I didn't like Bangkok on my first few visit's, but now I love it it's an assault on the senses! my Thai wife lived most of her life in Rangsit (A northern suburb) and its amazing as she knows where all the little malls, and markets and little hole in the wall cafe's etc are that as a tourist you would not find can't wait to get back there🙏
The citadines condo hotel on soi8 across the sucomvite from soi 11 is a nice quiet area and has a free golf cart taxi to and from the end of the soi
hello Chuck and Paige! Nice Tie Dye Paige! I too love Bangkok, always stay on Soi 7. Access to everything is fantastic there. Whenever I go to Thailand, 4 days in Bangkok to start and then to end the trip.

Super excited, conrad is still 30k points per night and thats the price it costs for a hampton inn in the usa. I can stay for a month on points...lol We are gonna be staying a day here, a day there between trips over the 35 days we will be there so hilton properties. I think that hotel is cool though.
Try the pod hotel at the airport. It’s awesome and surprisingly comfortable
I can tell from when i worked two years ago when i was 66 & 2 months when i retired on S.S my rotor cuffs froze up on me. No my knees are starting to do the same thing. Getting stiff with arthritis I do in bed exercises, touch your toes leg scissors riding a air bike inside the lifts and crunches. They keep you loose. You’re fine loose and it’s not hard on your body like trying to do it on a hard floor or a thin mat. Anyways you’re right if you don’t move around when you’re not working like you used to you stiffen up.

Hi Chuck i stayed next to the airport on my last trip at the VISAMAYA hotel small but nice odd area but very worth while and they picked me up at the aiport and droped me back of so i could catch the pattaya bus the next day.. i think its around $40.00 dolars nice pool as well.. Maybe check it out...
BKK is an awesome city but as you rightly pointed out great for short stay and get back to the healthier country air and pace. Bushyboy Oz.

I think it is a combination of corruption and red tape regarding building light rail. Between unions, construction requirements, politicians,cost or labor, etc. Makes it almost impossible to build stuff like that reasonably priced.
You would expect light rail fairly cheap and easy to install, when you have to move current infrastructure (fibre, water, gas, traffic signal cables, etc) deeper underground it becomes expensive and time consuming. Also, the problems you mention.
We could keep going. Neither of us even talked about private vs public land ownership. I am from Nashville and I think many people that live there would rather see growth reduce anyway.
