I must say I am very heartbroken that the Dear Zlata has been given to a new home. Dear Zlata was the most loving and angelic of cats who loved all peoples relentlessly. Her love was a beacon of light in these troubled times. She is an angel cat; one of the very few in the world. I can only hope she will receive as much love as she gives by her new parents. Certainly she needed much attention and will receive it because the new breeder has far fewer animals. Also, Zlata will have Compot for her mate for life and they will live a long and happy life with many kittens. She will be happy. I will greatly miss her.

I have to say, with many learning for the first time of the passing of Dear Margot in the late summer, that she was loved. She was the first Sand Cat and she immediately made friends with Melissa who was in her first pregnancy. Katya was not sure if Melissa would accept her but she did and Margot was Melissa's first kitten even though not by blood. It didn't matter. Melissa nursed Margot as if she was her own and during Melissa's birth, Margot came to support her and gave her comfort. Margot then helped raise Melissa's first litter. For a time Margot and Mother Melissa could not be separated and Margot thrived. Margot's health was never good and perhaps being separated from Melissa did not help initially. Margot become very reclusive afterwards. But Margot was always lovely and I always looked for her in videos. Her passing was perhaps inevitable despite Katya doing everything she could to keep her healthy, but she won't be forgotten. I will always remember her as Mother Melissa's first kitten and proof that a mother's love can extend to others. Rest well, Dear Margot. You were loved.
