Inhabit was my first introduction to L.S.
Saw them at cornerstone 91...incredible....their first and third albums are by far...my fave...when Bruce took over lead vocals...the band took on a new amazing sound...love their newer stuff but those early albums were always my favourite. Their new stuff is incredible....thank you Living Sacrifice members for all the hard work ...INCREDIBLE BAND!!!!!
Yeah man!! Thank you so much! Cheers from Brazil
Living Sacrifice was my first show. Saw them at the Ice Pick in Muskegon MI on tour after the first album. Couldn't hear for days.
Awesome! Love Living Sacrifice especially the first 3 albums but the debut by far my favorite 👍🏻
Wow! What a great interview with very exciting information. Can't wait!
Thanks for the kudos. I put a lot of work into my interviews. I try to keep it interesting to watch as you watch the video. I can't wait to hear DJ on a future LS release!
Yeah, it shows that you put a ton of work in these. Absolutely! I hope the new release is the Death/Thrash version of LS we all know and love. Until then, I will just be happy with a remaster of "Inhabit". 🙂@@TorrentiaLRIFF
DJ's the man. That unreleased "early years" documentary he was talking about would be amazing to see. Hope that sees the light of day. Was also surprised to hear there might be some unreleased Inhabit stuff. Would be cool to hear some demos at the very least. Excited for the re-release next year. And if LS wrote some old school music with DJ on vocals (and maybe even Jason involved as well?) in the future, I'd buy that in a second.
Inhabit is their best album!!
Definitely my all time favorite!!!
Great interview!
That’s great news that DJ will do some more vocals!
i can't wait to hear DJ back on vocals!
The debut LS album is awesome!
One of the best thrash records ever. All killer, no filler!
Mitch Reese here (Ex-Oblation) Record Companies suck. Especially christian ones...and ESPECIALLY older christian ones. I mean, I don't know first hand because we never got signed...lol (we didn't want to be signed to a Christian label) but I have heard a lot of horror stories. I'm no longer a christian (don't feel too bad though, because I have matured past all religion...lol). Christianity did help me a tiny bit, as a very angry, confused, hurt young man but it just doesn't wield the wisdom that it swears to contain. All that being said, thanks for the video I really enjoyed their first 3 albums. I loved their 1st one because it sounded like Slayer (most people's biggest complaint...lol) and I had just gotten "saved" and wouldn't allow myself to listen to them...lol. Got to meet the guys when they stayed at our drummer's house (Billy Fraser). They were having such a blast being on tour...lol. Lance had already learned Dead Unborn on guitar and they were complaining about one of their members not bathing regularly...lol.
Outstanding episode Jeremy! All the best with your new podcast!
Thanks for watching and commenting Catherine!
Great interview. I first heard of LS on a REX sampler. I've owned EVERY album. Never been disappointed. I have a question. Why is none of the REX stuff on Spotify?
I only love Living Sacrifice with DJ in it
Totally agree. It just isn't LS without DJ. I can't get into anything after "Inhabit".
Nonexistent is my favorite Living Sacrifice album but I am very disappointed in the remix/remaster. Actually it's the remix that I have a big problem with. The drums sound terrible and were much punchier in the original mix. The whole thing just feels off to me. I really wish they had just given it a proper remaster and left the mix alone. I bought the new version on CD but much prefer the "remaster" that T&N did back in '99. I hope that when the remaster of Inhabit comes out that they just do the remaster alone. As for DJ's vocals on Nonexistent, I have always loved them!
thanks for watching and voicing your opinion.
say what you want about his vocals but with a genre like death metal when band a. and band b. all sound like band c... it was refreshing to hear something different. Death metal is too saturated with much of the same, and little to navigate the genre without a trained ear. And no, deathcore is not the answer! and this is coming from somebody who loves all their albums equally the same.
I'm tired of it. Absolutely TIRED of it. Lets be clear: the vocals on 'Nonexistent' RULE. 'Nonexistent' RULES. The supposed murky production adds a wholly unique, bleak, haunted vibe that, while clearly not planned or the explicit intention of the band, really compliments and enhances the droney, undead atmosphere the music creates. You could call it an accidental masterpiece, but that's exactly how many masterpieces enter the world. OWN IT. Stop disowning it. Perhaps, ultimately, the very real darkness of the album spooks its own creators? No need to be afraid. 'Nonexistent' RULES. IT'S THE BEST LIVING SACRIFICE ALBUM.
