- In New Zealand at 49 people have been confirmed killed and more than 20 wounded after shootings at two mosques in the city of Christchurch on the country's South Island. The first attack happened at the Al Noor mosque. The second happened at the Linwood mosque.Eyewitnesses describe people fleeing in terror during Friday prayers. Three men and a woman have been aprehended. Police say they have defused a number of IED's, improvised explosive devices, found after the attacks. Authorities have warned people to avoid mosques across the country and have urged them to keep their doors closed.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said it was "one of New Zealand's darkest days".

The Bangladesh cricket team were about to enter in the mosque ! There were about 10min late from a news conference ! If they were on time ..imagine what would have happened to the cricketing world, with the world cup just 2 months away!

I watched the livestream, holy, that was brutal. This guy went into the mosque and shot everyone he saw, then he came out took another gun, went back in, shot everyone in the head twice to make sure everyone is dead as sheep (some were still moving a little before his second round but can’t run away because they were hurt really bad, feels really hopeless). Then shot a woman outside on the head twice as well while she was pleading for help when she was shot on the back.
May god give strength to those who lost their close ones

As a Kiwi, I never thought in a million years a terror attack would take place in my beautiful country, but it did. Now we are all grieving as a nation. I speak for just about every kiwi of New Zealand when I say we are so hurt by this heinous act of terrorism, our hearts are broken and we weep with our Muslim brothers & sisters.
