His new wife won’t let him watch FOX anymore because it made him difficult… His PTSD was a big factor to our divorce. His children won’t touch any conversation about politics…. One day we might hope that American broadcasters will stop referring to only US soldiers that "won WWII"..... It took the USA almost 2 years to get their act together and join in. Meanwhile, the UK was fighting the war largely on its own. But over the course of the war we had Canada, Belgium. Australia, NZ, Poland, Greece, Russia ++... and of course France too. Pro-rata, some of these countries devoted many more soldiers than the USA (as a percentage of their population). And lost them to battle too.... So, please, show some respect and historical accuracy: It was the ALLIED FORCES that won WWII. Not the USA !

I have heard various military people speak of this before but not in an effective, manner and not said enough. Trump has said or it was leaked he wants to have all military to swear loyalty to him and if they can't he will replace them with people who will. I read this months ago. Trumps plans to fire millions who won't be loyal to him alone. This would include military and civilian police. Even if Trump doesn't go all in,...just a whiff of this will have a chilling impact. People will feel everyone is a snitch, and it will sew distrust. Read the book 1984 or find the movie version. It'll scare the crap out you.

@@djpomare Not at all. I worked in tourism here in Scotland and 90% of the American tourists I dealt with were kind, patient, intersted and interesting. Of course a lot of those who travelled had some contempt for Trump, maybe that helped.
