The Oilers injure Kirill…. McDavid should have paid the price. But the Wild aren’t that kind of team… yet. If the Wild don’t stand up for Kirill and make someone pay them why have Foligno, Bogo, Middleton. Matt Boldy was the only one standing up for Kirill. And he’s the teams top 3 player.
No, the Wild were formally a VERY penalty heavy team and are now trying to stay away from that tendency (and winning because of it). Also, Middleton did try and defend Kaprizov, but it's not really a surprise the guy turned down his invite.
Saying they didn't protect him is a bit much. Middleton and Boldy immediately went in to send a message (though Boldy's message wasn't all that powerful). That said, the refs do appear to subtly favor Canadian teams when the Wild play them. I think what's happening is that the Wild were once a penalty-heavy team and so the refs are watching for it more than the reverse. Then add in a bit of reverence for home town teams and you've got trouble for the Wild even when they play clean.

Every time kaprizov got injured, no penalty has been called. It's a freaking joke.
I'm upset as well. He's on my fantasy team!😮💨
Way to make it about you.

Well said and now I do remember the Wild announcers say the Oiler player didn’t want to have anything to do with Midds.
Капризова ломают намеренно.. неужели НХЛ выгодно отсутствие талантливых игроков? Миннесота не бережет единственную звезду..
Капризов не там родился был бы он с Квебека был бы mvp

@graysongriese the guy went against a rule the league has had for a long time lol. Sorry they just enforced the rules they have.
