    Muting the body cam should be ILLEGAL. I could make the argument that cops muting their body cams in situations like this is actually tampering with evidence.

    I was a state commissioned wildlife officer for 34 years (now retired). I think it would be great if every police officer could spend two years as a game warden. Maybe they could learn to not wet their pants just because they see a gun.

      @ Alan Peterson, yes i wish your comment would be pinned to the top. A game warden knows when its hunting season every one he or she comes in contact with has a firearm, and they don't have there fire arms out and pointed at everyone. This is another reason i say cops need 2 years of collage education 6 months of just basic's and the other 18 months of learning just the Constitution.

    No officer should have any control of their body cameras and those that mute or turn them off should be prosecuted for either tampering with evidence or destruction of evidence. If they are still doing this then what’s the point of having body cameras, they should either just turn in their badges or loose them.

      All police officers that are corrupt function in two roles, one is the lawful official role of a police officer who acts within the scope of the law and properly discharges his duties and the other role is the unlawful unofficial role where the police violate the law by any means necessary through NOBILE CAUSE POLICE CORRUPTION to enforce the law. The descrepencies between the two opposing roles is hypocracy which causes a lot of stress, this is why alcholism and domestic violence is very high above the national average.

      Crazy how muting their cams isn’t tampering with evidence but a citizen hiding, destroying or ditching their own property before police contact them is considered tampering with evidence. How is anything deemed evidence before it has been collected and accounted for? Don’t we have the right to not self incriminate?

  • @librab103
    @librab103 2 года назад +697

    There is a reason why there are sworn officers that handle fishing and hunting specifically. Local city police violated AF's rights based on their opinions of what fishing is and what gear you have to have to be considered fishing. Also we need to get our elected officials to pass a law that says muting body cameras is a tampering with evidence making it a felony.

If an officer mutes their camera (which must be to collude or obstruct) there should be an administrative ability to return the audio in order to have a complete record of the interaction. The officer could’ve been conspiring with the chief to plant evidence for all any of us can tell. They knew exactly what they were doing from the start. You hear the officer go down the list of legal activities and simply because they didn't see any fishing gear they surrounded and attacked this man again. Instead of actually doing an investigation and seeing he was actually fishing. But one lazy cop training 6 other lazy cops on how to completely lazying out. They found a reason to stop, detain, handcuff, and HARASS him again. Go for another lawsuit because they apparently love them from you.

    Dude.... That muting the body camera. I HOPE you can use that against them. I wrote "premeditated" on your teaser video to this. The words that were caught in the beginning about shooting you if you point at them. The fact that they are muting only when they are discussing their fault. Seems to me that would be withholding or destruction of evidence.

      I am an open-carrying citizen myself, and I do understand and stand by my rights. This guy is a trouble seeker. It is not illegal for the police to ask him questions, he just needs to be cooperative throughout the process. Instead, he turns confrontational and wants to mess with the officers. This is what he gets into. This uneducated low-IQ guy needs to grow up and stop acting like a rebel teenager. If officers stop him, just cooperate, explain the situation and you'll be fine. Don't try to treat them as your enemies. I've been stopped by the police almost every time I open carried, and it didn't take too long for them to let me go. You know why? I cooperated and respected their authority. Simple as that.
