What i learnt from a level chemistry is that i could potentially get rich upon stealing these lovely little things called catalytic converters. Thanks Eliot!!
hi, my first comment on your page! thank you ever so much for making these amazing videos. you have explained everything really well. it means a lot! not gonna lie if i manage to pass my exams its because of your youtube page!!! :):):) i am resisting as chemistry as i did not do too well, and because of that my school said i am not allowed to sit in the lessons but honestly i am not missing out because your videos are like lessons to me. i can not stress how amazing and helpful your youtube page has been for me! keep the great videos up. aimen :)
As an asthma person I feel I am OK to say that! I'm probably not going to get chance to re-upload that one now, I'm afraid. However, for some good practice, I would recommend: Jun 13 - Q2 Jan 13 - Q4 Jun 12 - Q2 Jan 12 - Q3 You can get all these (along with the mark schemes and another 4 papers) at: www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/science/a-level/chemistry-2420/past-papers-and-mark-schemes
Sulfur is American whereas sulphur is British. cause this is a British board I'll stick to "sulphur". ur videos are amazing BTW. I have shared it everywhere!
i have 3 questions 1) do we need to know the uses of the fuels e.g. paraffin (kerosene) jet fuel etc. 2) Do we need to know how the catalytic converter turns the harmful pollutants into less harmful ones e.g. the reactants get adsorbed onto the catalyst surface and the bonds weaken and break then form different bonds to make different molecules then get desorbed. 3)finally do we need to know the different types of catalyst like heterogeneous and homogeneous and I'm in year 12 so is this stuff a bit ahead
henchhitmens Hey, 1) if you're referring to the fractions of crude oil, then no. 2) Yes. You need the equations that I believe are in the video. 3) Heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts are in A2 only but aren't gone into in a huge amount of detail. That helped?
Tz Cheezus Lmaoo! What are you playing at? :p x. His videos are really helpful, everything I have learnt has been from his videos and my books :) I've learnt nothing in college classes.
E Rintoul can you have it up by next week please? (btw your videos are really helpful thanks!)P.S. can you also try and do a mass spectrometry video please?
'people start coughing, asthma people do not like it' - this made my day

God knows I di- I mean no you shouldn’t do it even if it is profitable

Best part of the video man
And i don't really thinkkidswould even watchthis
Overmore there should always be somethinglike that to decrease tension
🤣I giggled

18:16 that sound FX made me laugh so hard haha, thank you for such an awesome series of videos though, they help me so much with my AS Chem!
skwli Haha, I'm glad!
Same lmao but I love them
Been watching your entire Unit 1 playlist for a week now in preparation for mocks. This is my 2nd time through it!
+TheJileyProduction Smashed it. Keep it up!
You Sir, are the reason I will pass my AS Chemistry. YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND.
"We need to start some sort of campaign!" got me haha
This was actually funny and educational I think this is a good way to teach cause it makes the learning fun, keep it up eliot

"Asthma people do not like it" Hahha!
Quick suggestion maybe if you put in some or one question for us yo try at the end of the video. Itd be great!

Sitting Chem1 tomorrow, these videos have been very helpful in aiding revision. Thank you!
I'm glad they've helped!
just curious , its been 3 years , what grade u get?
@@maisamaskari8774 Huh, I guess we'll never know

Incredibly informative video! Going through all your videos in preparation for my AS mock :)
Here's to hoping John Lewis kept to their promise! Great video as always!
Thank you so much! You're an A level saver in these weird corona quarantine times!
The balancing isn't correct - should be 2 NO + 2 CO --> N2 + 2 CO2
thanks a lot they saved my exams 12 years after they are made
That was damn clear man.thanks a lot

E Rintoul thank you
I'm in year 12 but I know about this as well because It's in the book
@@MrERintoul they are mentioned in year 1 I think
isn't homogeneouse when catalyst is the same state as reactant
Do we need to know about photochemical smog too? it seems to really confuse me, help would be appreciated thank you.
your 2CO + 2NO equation is unbalanced. Its supposed to release 2 CO2 not one
good spot
Love your videos!!
“polar bears die, we all drown” 😭🤣
Semm killed me😂😂great man though
My teacher said incomplete combustion forms C + CO + CO2 + H2O? Also I checked online and it says CO2 + CO + H2O
how do you know that at 6:10 water is a gas and not a liquid?
I hate state symbols
4:13 to 4:20 best part of the video😂
Using these videos to pass me AS mock exam to do a level but I need a E to pass which I should get anyway but trying to make sure haha

2NO + CO → N₂ + CO₂
OR:
2NO + 2CO → N₂ + 2CO₂
Thank you very much Sir! 😁
Sang Wangle Not a problem!
Poor polar bears )': Thanks, this video was really helpful. I think this is the easiest topic compared to the organic unit 1 work
Boro Jen xX Yeah, it's not much different from GCSE really. Glad it helped!
E Rintoul Yo, I think she likes you
Tz Cheezus Thanks, Cheezus.
No worries bruh, I gotchu

can you please make a video of green chemitry unit2
That sole dislike is the reason why aliens won't talk to us
ur vdeos are saving me :)
i was in year 7 when these videos were made i’m now 20
can you make a video on nitrigen and sulfur topic aslevel please
You videos are so helpful, thank you. Wish you could tutor me. I really need it :-/
mixy247 You are always welcome to ask questions in the comments if there is anything in particular that you want help with!
How would you know wether CO or C is produced in a reaction?😕
a limited supply of oxygen produces CO, then if the oxygen supply is further limited, C is produced
+Angelina Benson thanks 😊
fantastic!! Thank you
Not a problem!
do you have a video on covalent, ionic, co-ordinate bonding
***** Not at this point in time - hopefully soon though!
E Rintoul can you have it up by next week please? (btw your videos are really helpful thanks!)P.S. can you also try and do a mass spectrometry video please?
Darkrai Ex Maybe, maybe not. I've got a lot on at the minute with 5 exam classes. But I might have some time this weekend - watch this space!
E Rintoul thanks alot!

I think at 16:06 you forgot a 2 before the CO2
