【展覽快訊：油街焦點 - 加里 ‧ 卡德之人山人海】

「新舊交融」為香港城市的一大特色，高聳入雲的大廈與古色古香的廟宇相毗鄰。中西文化交匯成為「加里 ‧ 卡德之人山人海」的展覽靈感。
英國著名藝術家加里 ‧ 卡德（Gary Card）將具百年歷史的油街倉庫，轉化為當代多媒體藝術空間，以動畫及音效為觀眾帶來全新的沉浸式視覺及感官體驗，富有東西方文化色彩。
是次展覽以色彩繽紛的雕塑、畫作呈現「人山人海」以及香港獨有的城市景觀，無處不在的冷氣機、街市菜籃、麻雀等日常物件互相錯落堆疊。加里 ‧ 卡德以一貫幽默嬉玩的風格來豐富他的創作，以藝術探索色彩語言和多元文化的新領域。

【Exhibition News: Oi! Spotlight - People Mountain People Sea by Gary Card 】
The fusion of the old and new defines the character of Hong Kong’s cityscape, where towering skyscrapers stand alongside ancient temples. The exhibition “People Mountain People Sea by Gary Card” draws inspiration from the confluence of Chinese and Western cultures.
The renowned British artist Gary Card has transformed the hundred-year-old Oi! Warehouse into a contemporary multimedia art space, immersing the audience in a new visual and sensory experience through animations and sound effects, infused with Eastern and Western cultural elements.
This exhibition presents the concept of “People Mountain People Sea” through sculptures and paintings in vibrant colors, offering a closer look at the city’s unique landscape, where everyday objects like air conditioners, market baskets and mahjong are intricately layered and intertwined. Gary Card enriches his creations with his signature playful and humorous style, using art to explore new realms of visual language in colours and diverse cultural symbols.
