Too cool ! My Dad bought a dark blue 59 600 brand new. Can still remember that sound accelerating in first gear ! Though it was a good little car I seem to remember him having to put a couple of head gaskets on it over the years. When he bought a new VW in 1965 it was like moving up to a luxury car. Thanks for the ride !
I caught that you are an Oregonian. COOL. I live in Forest Grove. Maybe I'll see you around. I'd love to see your car. I had a rather tired one with suicide doors back in the 60's. I just needed some cheap transportation while my main ride was being repaired. Fun car.
Brings back memories.I love the Fiat 600.In Europe we had Seat ,Yugo and Zastava making the same model under licence. The Fiat we saw the most in the Nethetlands.Next the Zastava. The other Fiats in the video are 128 models
I remember back behind the Iron Curtain in 1975, a Fiat 600 could be bought with 600, $1.00 U.S. bills. You couldn't buy it for six, $100 bills, or even thirty, $20 U.S. bills. I'm sure there had to be a lot of promises, and illegal currency exchange to get it for 600 $1 bills. It was described as a 60 mph anthill going backwards.
I would love to have something like this to enjoy and dawdle about in locally, in good Pennsylvania weather. Imagine the gas savings, and you'd for sure turn heads wherever you went! :)
I had one of these 40 years ago I bought just to get to the station everyday it was a lot of fun and very cheap to buy but then again the floor did need welding up as it was rotten as a pear, the one problem that I never solved was from cold the brakes would pull badly to one side but if you just rode the peddle for a few yards starting off then it stopped in a straight line so it was essential that you remembered to do this especially in icy or slippery conditions, They had twin leading shoe front drums which I was always adjusting to try to stop this happening but to no avail nontheless my brother bought one too for the fun factor and that had exactly the same problem.
The wheels should be silver-gray, not black, and definitely not body-colour. My 1967 is different in several ways. It starts via the ignition switch like a normal car. It also has conventional doors, not suicide doors.
Wow ,How many of these cars do you own? Must spend all your time doing these little 2 stroke cars up. Must have a very understanding wife. Pretty impressive collection you have. Keep on producing these vids ,great viewing.
Cool car, but in your opinion, its better than VW Beetle? (in my opinion Fiat is better) and second, did you ever try a Trabant vehicle? East german liltle car (body panels from plastic)?
The wheels are supposed to be silver, not the body colour. Not many people know about the 600 but I consider it far prettier and mechanically superior to the 500.
Really cute! I've got a Fiat 600 Fanalona - 1968 - and I'm happy to see that this nice care is loved also in the uSA! Regards from Milano, Italy
One of my all time favorite cars was a 1969 fiat 124 coupe. It was absolutely bulletproof and a joy to drive. I'd like to find another one someday

We have a ton of them here in Argentina. Good to see that they're spreaded through all the world :)
Wonderful job! I'd keep the original wheels cups ;-)
Last time I saw one of these was in 2010 in Uruguay, and it was still daily-driven.
Such a great little car
I would love to get one of those. Especially in cream white!
Reminds me of my 1967. Fun and super reliable.
Very cool 600. Had a 850 spider and a 128, no.... let me think. No 3 128,s. 2 salons and a 3P. Never could find a 600 darn it. Love yours.

They were also made in Argentina

She's very cute! When I first saw the name Lisette it reminded me of the singer Lisette melendez lol

Spent a lot of time in one of those! Of course, I was an infant so I don't remember.
First car goals.
I obtained my driver license driving a 600, it's still a common car in Argentina
There was a 128 estate perhaps from '73 and a 131 Mirafiori from '76?
See the 131 often in the american tv series "Chips" from the late seventies.
Very good
Back on the road, looking for smiles
I want that Fiat 131 Wagon!!!!
That's a Fiat 128, but focus on an american contemporary Wagon, can this128 be defined as such?
lol i've got a fiat 600.its white, planning on restoring it!
If you like the van there is also the "multipla" version
Nice car. Some nick names this car " el fitito" (the small fiat) " "La bolita"(the small ball) Saludos from 🇦🇷
Is that a go 4 interceptor in the background. I would love to see a video on that
There is a D on it, was it in Germany?
The suicied model was sold in Germany from '56 to '60 in big figures.
Le falta el tapizado al techo, soy español y aquí el Fiat 600 es el Seat 600 aunque hay ciertas diferencias constructivas.
Personally I wanna see some more MicroVan :D Turbo it!
Did you fix it?
i have Yugoslavian version called zastava 750 it is like cart with roof XD
Why do you always label everything in tape? I get the unlabeled switches but even the turn signals and Hi-Beams?

What did the thing say about the first gear
No synchro on first.
the windows came like this ?
Our first car was a Fiat 500 Bambino with suicide doors for a family of 6! LOL!!!
what's this wrapping on the steering wheel called?
Steering wheel glove. It's ugly and does not belong there. Maybe the steering wheel is in poor condition so that covers it up.
Just try to fit four people in it and you'll realize how spacious and peppy it is...

This is not a 2-stroke. It has a conventional 4-cylinder, water-cooled 4-stroke engine.
this video is best see

Come on - ›water-pump is fixed‹ on an air-cooled engine?
Epicshorty
