hey~ sailor ghost here from a sunken factory ship just after the industrial revolution, haven’t been able to sleep for 35 years until now, love this tune.
Have been searching high and low for this. The Destroyer I was on was powered by 4 LM2500 jet turbine engines. This comes real close to the sounds that permeated my life for 4 years.
@Helmholtzwatson1984 yes i'm a crusty shellback. It was in 84' while on Wes Pac. Had a flamboyant dude in my dept and he won the beauty contest, so we got to go thru the garbage and crud before it got too bad. Our Captain was a Wog so he was right in front of us.
Just awesome!! Excellent choice of pitch and engine sound, perfect white noise. This is absolutely my favorite engine sound for deep sleeping. Thank you so much.
I was on a Adams class destroyer, the sound of the forced draft blowers would rock me to a deep sleep every time,,,, until the deck grinders started. No love for those of the mid watch or 4 to 8.
Well I guess I'll fake a story too. Retired Titanic engine crewman's here, really smoothing and reminiscing of my working days. Listen to all that charcoal burning for 10 hours
Love the low pulsating sound. My only advice would be to maybe record longer loops of sound as to my ears it’s a fairly short loop repeating over and over. It’s also always a challenge to hide where the loop begins again. Anyway, great sounds and love the channel!
Thank you for the feedback. Yes, this one had a lot of unwanted noise in the original recording which I didn't spot until I fired it up in the DAW. Still love the sound of this one, I can't remember looping it that short as that's usually something I try to avoid but perhaps I had no choice! Thanks though, I will try and grab a better one soon 🙏
I was relieved to find out that despite this video only being in hd, it still looks good on my 4k tv... also no subtitles popped up so I guess its in English
Another channels ship engines sounds black screen video popped up on my feed and it is literally this video. It’s synced perfectly. Just a different thumbnail is all. Seems over the last month that has been happening all too often
Sounds nothing like the ships engines I served upon...in the engineroom it was a cacophony of noises but outside in the comfort of my cabin it was a reassuring heartbeat thump and vibration in tune with the motion of the ship. Any bed manufacturer that could make a bed to mimic this would make their fortune.

Same for me, I was stationed on Tortuga LSD-46 for 4 years back in the 90’s as an engine man, this is very familiar and comforting.

An occasional bosun pipe would be perfect

I need a bigger sub-woofer. The sound is almost perfect, but I have trouble sleeping if I can’t feel my engines.

Used this for 6 months now... perfect. But now there's adds! Ruined! Shit!
Doesn't sound like a ship to me; and i have 4 yrs sea time under my keel...
