I have an asp x built for exploration. "Into The Deep".
The Anaconda that took its place? "Into The Deep II"
My Python is called "Yamiks's Revenge" because he's the reason I have it. I have a second Python parked in Sothis for cargo runs if im low on money. Its called "Also Yamiks's Revenge"
My Fed Corvette is called "The Scimitar" after a fictional ship class I made up for my own stories. Both are combat oriented. My Cutter is called "Edmund Fitzgerald" in memory of the ore carrier that sank some 30 plus years ago in the Great Lakes region. Mine also carries cargo, when I need to move lots of it.
I even have a mining ship called "The Underminer". Ive also got a Type-10 covered in multi-cannon turrets called "Flying Fortress" after the WWII bomber.
Im not exactly great with names.

I update a note on my phone of potential names as and when they occur, so I always have a small reserve. Although they still need to fit the ship.
Hope you don't mind, but I think 'Denial of Prophets' would have been a little less obvious and a little more subversive :)
