      @sydgriffin7591 Год назад +2

      @Jay Bee The Wikipedia article you cite says abortion is available through the second trimester, 26 weeks. This is normal. Abortion is a normal part of women's reproductive health care. To deny women health care is barbarous. Which is in line with most Republican beliefs. The article you cited said abortion is legal up to 34 weeks for medically necessary reasons. Not the 40 weeks of an average pregnancy. And that's when it's MEDICALLY NECESSARY. As in, for medical reasons, for the health of the woman.
      Why do you want to deny women necessary health care? Why are you lying and trying to distort facts? Please stop lying and stop being barbaric.

    • @desireeespinosa3954

      Even in CA you can not get a voulentary abortion after 12 weeks. The ONLY time anyone gets one after that is if there are major problems with the fetus or the health of the mother is directly at risk. Even if a woman decides to have a abortion before 12 weeks.... I can promise it was a heartbreaking choice. It's biologically Impossible for us not to care. Our hormones alone won't allow it. NO ONE is killing babies for the sport. That is Ridiculous
      Please don't prop up disinformation. Have a blessed day

If America, the "West's BIG protector" falls to white-nationalist-Christo-Fascists, there won't be a single place on Earth that'll be safe! I live in SW Ohio and another tactic that has been employed is MOVING the POLLING PLACES! At one point I lived in a very large apartment complex where a large number of the tenants did not have their own transportation. In 2008 our polling place was moved from one within easy walking distance to one that was 2-3 times farther away, still technically within walking distance but inaccessible by foot for many. In 2012 they moved it again to a place that no one was likely to walk to. So, you had to pass TWO polling places THAT WERE STILL IN USE AS POLLING PLACES in order to vote!!! The intent was clear: SUPPRESS THE VOTE!!! (And, yes, this county is controlled by Republicans.)

    • @outtadarkness1970
      @outtadarkness1970 Год назад

      @Jay Bee, Wow! You clearly missed the point. I have to drive to my polling place where I live now, but it is actually logically placed. What they did in the township I was referencing, was clearly done to suppress the vote of young people and the economically depressed. There is a major difference!

The starting corporate salvo on American democracy was then fired with the 1978 stock crash, followed two years later with the Reagan election. The rest your right on. IE. Al Franken knows he wouldn't have much of a chance to win under those conditions ... especially taking into account it was mostly Women democrat Politicians who demanded he resign immediately when this came out ... and Franken is smart enough to know that even though many came out later and said they were wrong and apologized for telling Franken to leave without a congressional investigation ... the ones who did'nt do that would impede his run just as much as the Republicans would ....

He posted to his Facebook page a photo of his ballot pointing out that for this election cycle, instead of having the candidates in alphabetical order down the ballot, interestingly and oddly, in each category all the Republican candidates running are listed first. He said in all the years he's been voting in AZ, this is the first time the ballot hasn't been in alpha order... hmmm. You can clearly see how this was designed to hood-wink those voters who are not well informed or undecided, as there is a high probability these voters will choose to vote for the first name on the ballot, and this is what the AZ Repugs are banking on.🤨

    PS ... take a look at what Oklahoma state legislature did right after the 2020 election. They did weekend CLOSED sessions to pass laws fast and furious. I won't try to list here. You'd understand better if you go to the source records.

    I don't think the ACA would be a pro-Democratic talking point where I come from, rural and mostly self-employed folks who saw their health insurance rate explode by 30-35% on their already too high rates. If the Democrats weren't unduly influenced by the health insurance companies we would have Medicare for all.

    Al, you need to stop saying that the Republicans stole TWO Supreme Court seats as they only stole one.....Neil Gorsuch. It makes you lose the moral high ground in this argument (as if that means anything anymore). As much as you don't like it, you can't have it both ways in complaining that they wouldn't allow Garland to be voted on in an election year and then voted on Barrett in an election year. Despite how close it was to the election day in 2020, they technically had the right to nominate and vote on her no matter how hypocritical it was and it was off the charts in that regard.

    • @lhoward9593
      @lhoward9593 Год назад

      They stole two if you look at McConnell's rule for holding up Garland's appointment. The same logic should have been applied to Coney-Barrett. The appointment should have been held til after the election.

    • @Studgunners
      @Studgunners Год назад

      @@lhoward9593 You missed my point. You can't have it both ways by saying they stole a seat by not allowing a vote while Obama was in office and stole another seat by allowing a vote while Trump was in office. Gorsuch was stolen but not Coney-Barrett technically speaking.
