What a coincidence, just recently some good friends of mine were really given a hard time before being allowed to enter Ol Jogi. They are very snobbish about their conservancy I hear. I'm SOO curious as to whether or not they will reach out to you with either an apology or explanation. Please keep us posted!
Loved this video as all the others:) You guys are amazing and encouraging me to do more in beautiful Kenya 🇰🇪 So happy to see you coincidentally the other day at Karura forest, much love 🤍
Ol Jogi is more of an exclusive kind of conservancy with access only to guests staying with them.. Quite costly as well, as a tour consultant I know better... Anyway enjoy Laikipia, there is so much more to see and experience.
The Manis really give a fair review. With video evidence. This would have been great publicity for them. All the Mani's supporter should be boycotting that place
@@DaveMani Yes, this paints a rather negative picture of the conservancy. Through experience, I find written confirmation a safer way to avoid last minute disappointments.
Hello buddies hope you keeping well thanks I really enjoyed watching your road trips looking forward more of this in future well otherwise see you in the next one
Ol jogi have always been very clear about bush camping. It's just not their policy. Are you sure they irrefutably stated that you can self camp there??? They also have a great program teaching school kids about conservation. Last time I was there, lots of school kids were having a great informative time. Was very encouraging that most of these were schools from the laikipia area! This is a big move in making conservation actually accessible. The bear I feel is from a time ol jogi served a different philosophy... which seems corrected now (hopefully). All in all we had a smooth experience going there.
Hi Dave and Tracey ! I enjoy going on your trips with you. So, I was curious about Ol Jogi and looked them up, looks like they do good things there. Sad that they were so rude to you. I wrote to them and told them about your video of being turned away, now seen by 38 thousand people ! Very bad publicity for them. A bear?????
Sorry about that. I highly think its related to the risks associated with camping in such a place as these places are really dangerous and you won't see an attack coming. They don't even recommend that you get out of the vehicle. I'd say its for your safety.
We need you to go and WATCH the WRC, in full it's WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP, which will START on (22nd) of this MONTH, I'm very SURE, you will ENJOY the ADVENTURE
Hello Dave and Tracy! There is a song that starts at the 6:00 mark in this video that you have used in several other videos. It’s very poignant and captivating. Please keep using it. What is the name of the song?
Lets be honest tho... its cool that they have a bear but at the sane time, this bear is alone in an enclosure and if native from Russia. I don't think that bear is really happy... :(
Is sweet to follow your journey from day one you left canada to came and live in kenya I would like to know which job do you do because I would like to travel like you🤔
Why does it take phone calls to confirm whether camping is allowed or not? If it is a policy then it should have been clear from the time Dave made the first phone call. That is so unprofessional and a waste of people's time. I can see on their website they are asking for donations but do not want paying visitors. How ironic!!!!
I'm sorry, but one thing with Kenya & Africa, in general, is you have to deal with some corruption once in a while. It's shameful but I don't know how & when it'll end.
Honestly I feel like ol jogi gives people a hard time giving people access because they keep the only bear in Kenya which I feel like it's so wrong. I think it has a hard time being alone and shouldn't be there...ol pejeta is amazing with the rhinos. Sunworld safaris has like best trucks that's so true
😂😂lemme offer you some Swahili lessons.. Kuja means come I think they're calling the other guides cause they have been notified of an animal . Karibu means welcome I'm sure you've heard that. Tunawapenda🤎...we love you guys keep up 🥰
"Kuja" means, come. The word for Welcome is, "karibu." 😊. Also weren't you scared of a cheetah or rhino (I think rhinos hate fire) wandering into the camp at night?
Well put together. BUT, are you mad? Camping in Africa? Ha, ha! Born and raised there. Chui will come and eat you! Check out the Usamabras. Cool, 5,500ft up. Low humidity. Few bugs. The highest peak, "Kwamungu". ie. "To God." Always in cloud like heaven. The graves of the Kings of the Wa - samba there. Magical...."In the calm of the evening, the cries of the peacocks echo through the valley....."
It only takes once. Leopards grab you around the neck, then disembowel you with their back claws. NEVER have a dog away from the coast - is the favourite food of chui (leopard). Enjoyed your videos. Good job! Check out Semuc Champey in Guatemala and lake Atitlan. Go Jan, Feb, March - no rain.
Hey Dave and Tracy 😊 I need to take you to my home County Kericho County it's green town ,prehistorical sites Hills amongst others and you will love it 😍😍
Totally agree. They even contradict themselves by trying to make phone calls. If there is no camping it is a straight forward policy that should be clear by the time phone calls are made.
Sorry about that. That being said I think the issue is on your side as nobody else reported the issue. I also just watched some of it on the RUclips app and it was fine as well. Maybe try to turn off the app and open it again.
