I grew up on a farm with 99 goats and a couple hundred cows. 900 acres in all. It was so much fun. I so need to go back to that life. Goat meat is AWESOME!!!
What a sweetheart Kat is! I have not started networking in my area for all the homesteaders but I hope I meet nice people like her. What a great neighbor to have!
Don't understand why people want to be negative, if you don't like something don't watch! The rest of us enjoy her videos, if you have nothing good to say move to something you like better.. you all do a great job pay no attention to haters.
I just milked my Nubian for the first time! Thanks for the video I been following you since before I moved out to the homestead. Thanks for all the info!
I appreciate all your video's. Thank you for making them. Looking forward to doing all this myself some day soon. Luckily I get to play on friends farms for now.
im thinking about getting some dairy goats and I was wondering do u have to breed them every year or if they kid once will they produce milk for ever on or what ?
I like this different intro but honestly, it it really the simple life? lol Seems really complicated with all the details involved in raising animals and just homesteading in general.
Of course it's hard work and has it's challenges and obstacles to overcome. But it is incomparably more rewarding to dedicate your time and energy to building your life and character as you go, rather than struggling to climb the corporate ladder to material success. Nothing is free, every success requires hard work and dedication, but again the rewarding feeling of seeing your hard work and time go to building a life instead of struggling to maintain one is overwhelming.
I have always wondered about that term "simple life" as well. I think what I've determined they mean, is that it's just closer to nature. Not processed, manufactured, etc. In that way, it is definitely more simple.
matt s: I found this video to be very useful and informative. We are making plans to raise goats so everything I can learn about them and the lifestyle surrounding their care is helpful. Is there some reason you watch videos like this, other than to add more negativity to the planet?
While I understand that is your opinion, I really wish you would have reframed from sharing it here. I personally think not only this video, but all of Becky's videos are not only very informative but also very interesting and fun to watch. I started watching her videos knowing nothing about chickens and now I have a healthy flock laying tons of eggs, and I got all of my information on how to raise them and keep them happy from Becky. So I'm very sorry if this is rude, but I don't see why you felt the need to "rate" this wonderful video.
