Killed a cleric and wizard duo after watchign this when they were ass up face down in a chest of loot and then promptly died to the spike traps. 10/10.
Its a good game but i do feel it needs some balancing. Like on day of this playtest i managed to get to lvl 7 without managing to escape once & quit for the day. Really makes you feel stuck when you cant even buy a 5 gold bandage. Day 2 however the die-hard pvp people did seem to loosen up a bit & i managed to exfil twice (probably by accident). Perhaps giving people a 20 gold pity payment every time they lvl would be a good idea? Al least now i can buy a set of metal boots so at least i sound scary. The sound actually does scare off some people lol. You would think people noticing you holding a 2 hand weapon would scare them but noooo. So you can use that to your advantage & bait them in i guess.
Quests are planned, and I do hope there will be a reasonable amount of them that don't require an exfiltration to complete, i.e. killing 25 spiders or opening 10 chests, stuff like that - easy to accomplish even if you don't make it out yet, but a steady source of gold to eventually let you grow enough to supply yourself somewhat adequately.
you can comfortably 1v3 with any class in the game if you play it smart, games like this shouldnt make efforts to cater to the lower skill players when its inheriently a high skill high stress game mode
Part 9 seems to be some time away still, so if you don't mind me jumping ahead with this question, is Wizard viable to solo as? I joined 2 friends in this game today, but naturally I am somewhat a burden so far since I have only the beginner gear and no experience. However, I really liked the Wizard and we've had decent success compared to when I played fighter. Now I'd love to grind gold on my Wizard so that I can afford the basic healing items since the lack of them has been really punishing so far.
Molerat default wisarf, grind until level 5 and 10 be a sneaky wizard, Dont' kill too many mobs unless you think you can recover or have no choice. Once you have the quick spells , magic damage &1 second, reactive shield and sage you are a default beast. Try to get a few bandages and a 11 gold spell book with the alchemist and you are set. If you get any knowledge points put the Haste plus Invisibility to escape good, remove your default equipment apart from the boots because it just slows you, ignite is very good for damage combine with fireball and magic missile, dont be afraid of running just try to avoid getting cornered and also remember you are going to die, a lot but it's okay as long as you get points slowly towards level 20 and then try your sneaky molerat wizard. This and cleric are simply the best solo, wizard is the best PVP class for solo due to his glass cannon potential and cleric is the best PVE solo due to healing, free bandages and undead killing spells. Good luck and continue dying and killing in the game, because the dungeons get DARK but YOU GET DARKER...In my head it's sounded better :D
Only problem I have with this game is pve balancing pve is literally undoable/unfair cause you constantly get flooded by mobs and the rooms are so small it gives you no room to do stuff and with all the traps and stuff it’s just annoying and it’s extremely hard to heal
i do hope they fix the balancing on the classes, as some classes are just way to good in solo compared to the others. i do hate that pvp games tend to have a "meta" that everyone flocks to. Dark and Darker is extremely fun though. i hope that more classes get added as variety may help to balance everything out. i would personally love to see a Warlock or an Artificer added. the warlock could be a melee stealth caster and artificer could be a ranged support tank.
@@thewatcher6478 no, it wouldn't be tanky, as well as not having as much use from spells in terms of raw damage dealing. i'm thinking like a charm that keeps the target from attacking for maybe like 0.75 seconds, a hex to increase damage taken by the target, and a couple utility spells. dagger and crystal ball for starting weapons and maybe a health pot. no stealth as an ability but a spell to silence footsteps could work
tip video = "play rogue because thats what I do..." I'd love to see some actual tips that help all classes not just the easiest one(s) to survive with. I like your content but man, this is just not it
Nevermind the players I can’t even deal with the pve solo that’s what kills me
Same I just get yanked into a corner by mobs and lose all my health
it took me until level 19/20 as fighter to familiarize all rooms (and the mobs in it). So enjoy leveling to 20, you'll get there.
Attack like a fork
Strike 1 time, trigger their attack, back up, repeat
Once you’re comfortable do 2 hits

Solo is the best, always be friendly w other rogues. I have had the best experience with random 1v1v3s. Always hit the biggest guys in the room first
the art of making 13 videos from the same 10 clips edited in a different order...
I would love to see a version of this that isnt a rogue or ranger haha. i am curious how you would go about other classes in solo.

Wizard main here. Played him for 3 playtests now. Definitely one of the best solo classes
Yes wizard is great solo

@@SrMikicas Thanks man, will give that a shot if I manage before the test is over.
solo pve is what fucks me up
Got me ready to level rogue
“Guys solo is easy”
*plays rogue arguably the most OP class in the game*
How is the damage on the daggers so high
Best solo class video when?
oh part 9 it's so far away xD

Nah man you just have to kite. You can easily never take damage from mobs if you're smart about it
yeah its a pretty annoying hit and run mechanism. really frustrating
Kinda sucks that it seems like the only optimal solo class is rogue though.
Ranger. Trust

“Melee stealth caster”… so everything but archer?

i think im a pro now i got some boots for my next round

Easiest way to stop getting ganked in solo, by joining the discord, join recruit chat, and not playing in solo
i still can't even kill mobs lol
