- Yesterday I recorded a couple of beautiful Austin Healeys, like the MK III. They all participated in a tour called "Molentocht 2011". They drove across Zeeland (Holland) from Wilhelminadorp to Hoedekenskerke and back.

I owned a 67 Austin Healy 3000 MK III and it was the greatest car ever. Will never forget it.

So good to see a BJ7 - Mark II Convertible - feature so prominently. Almost every Big Healey you see nowadays is a BJ8, which, to me, was far too refined - a comfortable GT - without the rough edges that made the earlier models so endearing. I had one for a few years in the early '90's, when it was barely 30 years old. The joy I got from firing her up and hearing that wonderful straight six burble is something that still brings a smile to my face.
One of my greatest regrets is selling my Healey.
I've owned mine since 1973 and it's still the greatest car in the World

The Austin Healey is to me one of my favouite cars , the MK11 Lincoln,E type, Dodge challager are pure class as well,

Gorgeous but I wish you had also followed the Citroen Avant. There is something about the broken back look of the Citroen that appeals to me. I must have drunk to much wine and eaten too much garlic perhaps?!
Why don't create a brand new Austin Healey with modern technology under need the body's.I would buy it!
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party and FFF gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated
central gas station per city or county. Now these green heroes want to
slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2
litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will
be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine
and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027
on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any
longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions-
and smoke crime :-(
