Yep, Chiefs fans old enough remember the Chiefs of the 90s. Most of that decade with Marty Schottenheimer the Chiefs were good to extremely good. Twice the Chiefs finished 13-3 with Marty and had the No. 1 seed. They just needed to win 2 home games to get to the Super Bowl, but they lost the first playoff both times! Marty just could not win much of anything in the playoffs.

I’ve heard a lot that to win a major championship you need to be good and also you sometimes need to be lucky, not always but sometimes. That punt hitting the Niner on the foot was definitely a lucky bounce for the Chiefs. We took advantage. It kind of made up for Pacheco fumbling when he was on about the SF 5 yard line.
