What an utter pleasure, if you gotta do a tribute then they come no better than this. The man even sweats like Rory. So happy to see Gerry keeping it alive.
I had the privilege of knowing Rory during the early days of Taste in Belfast. I’ll catch up with Gerry and the band when they come again to the Flowerpot in Derby on 11th November 2023.
IMHO, the best to ever do it as a front man. From the guitar playing, lyrics, and always just being Rory. Him truly loving what he's doing was all the show you could ever ask for. Fuck all the gimmicks and personas, just be you.
I was lucky enough to meet Gerry when he was with Nine Below I went to the bar for a pint and there was Gerry Brendon and Mark Feltham had a chat with them for about 5 mins great night
That’s not his actual guitar . It’s a fender replica. I have one and it cost $3500.00. It has the same pickups and keys Rory had on his . One key is different from the other 5. That is his bass player
@@oigofotos It's a good copy but, like Robert said, it's pristine. The screws on Rory's are rusted from his sweat, the scratchplate is cracked, the paint that shows through, although it's in the same areas as the one in the video, it's shaped differently. A good copy, and the guy plays it well.
You can buy those Rory Strats, I would think if Rory is hearing this he will be turning in his grave, I saw him live back in the day and what the hell this guy is playing I have no idea, it sounds nothing like any Rory playing I ever heard, awful, absolutely awful.
@@burlatsdemontaigne6147 Im not a big pedal user but Rory did use a couple-three pedals. Definitely on this tune. Go back and listen carefully to the original tune by Rory.

I saw Rory in 1968 in Lausanne Switzerland with Taste. He began the concert with What’s goin ‘ on. After three chords I was à fan for life !
Saw Rory numerous times,fecking legend.
Ruhe in Frieden Rory.
Fantastic

My favourite bassist ever, he kicks ass with Rory. Love his style
SUPERB!
Boy, I wouldn't want to be up there taking Rory's place!

Good to see big MAC playing bass.....had the chance to meet him in the mid 80's nicest guy in the world.....Rory is missed
I was lucky enough to meet Gerry when he was with Nine Below I went to the bar for a pint and there was Gerry Brendon and Mark Feltham had a chat with them for about 5 mins great night
He doesn't get enough recognition as a bass player imo. What a guy to have on bass beside you. I have a signed copy of his book "Riding Shotgun"
@@elflakeador09 I agree Gerry does not get enough recognition and he should do because he really is one of the best
@@leehambleton9919 The energy he brought to Rorys live shows was insane, and that pounding bass. Such a solid player, top class 👌
@@elflakeador09 Fantastic bass player I love Rorys playing but I listen to Gerry playing as well he's one of the best
Fantástic
Rory foreverrrrrrr
Has the old ac30 Rory tribute Stratocaster…. Brilliant
Rest In Peace Rory..🌹💐💐🌹🌹
Gerry Mcevoy was a big part of Rory’s music
We are waiting for you in Athens at Gagarin on Saturday 11 February 2023!!!!
Gerry rolling back the years. gGod bless
Marcel Rocks!
RORY RIP
In his prime Gerry Mcevoy had the same energy as Rory while they played together.
Absolutely he did, unfortunately he tends to get over looked by people.
Very true saw them twice in early eighties. Gerry clearly loves his craft
RORY GALLAGHER : THE GREAT IRISHMAN OF ROCK.
He’s a blues legend
THE GREAT LEGEND OF MUSICIANSHIP IN GENERAL.
LOVE it thank you. Rory's missed and that's his guitar and bass player I think.

Real Sweat makes you Smile...
awesome!

Is the front man a Dutch guy? He's the image of a guy I saw play in Ballyshannon years ago, a class act too.
EDIT, yep its him 👍
Bravo friends🙃⚡️✨
Well done Marcel ! Keep safe my friend !
Mr. Rory "Fuck" Gallagher Rest In Peace 🎤🎸😭🙏

its a replica.
Yup it's a signature Fender custom shop replica.
Hab ich schon Live gesehen die Combo.Wahnsinn

Jajaj rory gallagher muy bueno grande
Danke Danke Danke..............Danke.....
Show demais.
Great video... have you been to the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ireland... it is great
Not yet but I'm willing... I hope some of these years I can be there!
It's on my bucket list kid.
I was at this show. We had a wonderful time.
Good job it helps to Mac helping 👍
Marcel, the closest guitarist to RORY!!
Hi is that Rory's guitar or a replica??
It's an original Rory's guitar, as they say and it seems
Ohhhh ....mannnn ist das....🐾🍁🎸❤️✨🍂🦉🎸🎸🎸🎸✨🚀🌛..ist das etwa Rorys Band? Ich dreh ab....
Ja das ist
3:00 youre welcome
Guitarist's name??
Marcel Scherpenzeel
Is that the original drummer?
I know Jerry is the original bass player
It's neither rod or ted, both had died when this was filmed
Brendan O' Neill on drums...
1 of the original drummers
IS THAT RORY'S STRAT?
Yeah, it's supposed to be that one...
No way. It's too pristine.

Its a Fender replica. 3,000 American dollar guitar. I hope to own one, one day.
Good job but not the same and not yoir fault only one Rory Gallagher
Well said only one Rory Gallagher he was a one off

What do you expect mate? Rory was a genius. It is what it is, a celebration by those who knew and played with him. Get over yourself.
@@murdock8068 he definitely used some sort of flange type pedal when he played that iconic live 10 minute version of shadowplay
The art of making people leave - play a intro that long.👎👎👎👎👎
You must be one of them "play Freebird!" idiots.
