Battery life is the worst. I’m trying to connect the wifi lock to the wifi bridge so it doesn’t use up the batteries. But I find you can’t access lock settings when away only the status. Is that what you’ve run into?
I just bought the August 4th Gen WiFi smart lock but unfortunately it is not working. August app states that markets outside USA & Canada are NOT SUPPORTED and there is nothing they can do about it!
@@Tech4Baba I am from Singapore. I have the same question too. If we look at the August app, there is registration for all international mobile country code. However, I guess Yale doesn't have the economic determination to implement the SMS verification. That said, the seller in Singapore has a solution - that is to use any free VPN to register August app. Once that is done, August Smart Wifi works like a charm.
Great video! Most reviews I see say that the 4th gen's battery life is so bad that many are preferring the older 3rd gen despite the bigger size.
I am buying one and loved the step-by-step unboxing and installation helped me be better prepared for mine on arrival. Great video.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, @BBGKingFury! Let me know how you like it when you have yours set up.

I’m shopping for a new smart lock. Was using the Wyze lock for several years until it stopped working.

Sorry to hear! Where are you from? I wonder why they sell it there?

What is the purpose for the bridge?
So you don't need any hub for the Wi-Fi on the Gen 4. Also does this lock work with SmartThings.
So, being Apple HomeKit enabled, means it support Apple Home Key-and by extension, this August Wifi 4th Gen support Apple Home Key?
Not Apple home key, it’s compatible work with Apple HomeKit.
Can it be integrated into Home Assistant without any cloud dependency?
Just wondering how the battery life turns out after months of us
