Thank you all so very much for your kind comments! I always strive for authenticity and the real truth of the subject I'm talking about! It's so cool Ace is releasing music 50 years after his first album with Kiss!!!
I'm really impressed by your insight and honesty. You clearly know your KISStory! It's refreshing to see the younger generation embracing the bands and music I grew up on. Keep doing what you're doing! You're awesome!
What Ace did with his Comets is still my favorite, but Ace's new album is truly very good.. I'm not a huge fan of Cherry Medicine, but Up in the Sky, Cosmic Heart, and Blinded are fantastic!
Really enjoyed the review from a younger fan’s perspective. Can’t believe how much you appreciate Ace! I’ll subscribe and look out for your other reviews. BTW, I’m Under The Rose from the FAQ 👍 Keep up the good work!
Good to see you do this video Emily. First saw you on In My Head. Great review of Aces' album. The album is good. I don't think it's his best, as he says, since the 78 solo, but I can rock with it ! Yes, so thankful and good to see him doing music still. God bless.
Also wanted to add, you mentioned the song that had a riff from "She " is true and to me 10, 000 Voltz has a " FireHouse" riff sound to it. I don't think any of it is intentional. I have to say for me I came up with 4 out of the 11 songs I like a lot, but Hey, a nice job, him and his friend from Trixster did nice work together. As far as his voice, he just doesn't have a high pitched voice anymore so the deeper vocals he has on here are just what it is. Deep voice.
@@Carolinafishingtales that's interesting. Yeah, I have heard other artists whose voice also lost the ability to be high pitch, BRIAN wilson would not sing falsetto anymore, Paul Stanley too. Vince neil, another example. It's a little sad, but expected.
Thank you for your honest review and for sharing your thoughts with us.🤘👍🤘 For me, the joy is what it is all about my 72-year-old guitar god has even made a new album. In my opinion, Ace Frehley and Kiss fans can be very happy with the result. And, as I expected, "10000 Volts" is a stronger rock album than the last two really weak Kiss albums "Monster" and "Sonic Boom". Overall the album is 8/10 for me.🤘🤘 In my opinion, the production of 10,000 volts turned out very well... I'd be curious to see what it would sound like if Ace re-recorded his 1978 solo album with this type of production... Keep on rocking and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪🤘👍🎸
You prepared well for this, I got confused at the start there, when you reviewed the videos (which I couldn’t care less for and haven’t watched) and not the music, but you managed to sneak in some opinion on the music as well. Walking On The Moon and Back Into My Arms Again are easily my favorites thus far.
Age, drugs, and alcohol are not kind to anyone. I have heard him when he was really spot on. Listening to him live now is brutal. Keep those reviews coming!
There's nothing like vinyl. I'm a GenX'r so all I did was collect records. My brother used to have all the Kiss albums so I would sneak them away when he was out with his friends. LOL! He was a big Kiss fan.
For The record, The CD on Amazon is Temporarily Out of Stock and is #1 in Rock and Metal categories. I attended his signing in NYC on Saturday where fans lined up for Blocks and stood as long as 6 hours in 30 degree weather. I have the CD and the Splatter vinyl signed by Ace and though met him over 30 years ago, Ace is Still America's Most Influential Living Hardrock Guitarist and resonates with the fans in a genuine way that his Ex Bandmates in their God like posture never can.
Awesome Review, Emily! I really enjoyed this album. And I TOTALLY agree with you, Cosmic Heart is my absolute favorite. I knew it was going to be as soon as the opening riff hit 😂
Good, honest review Emily. Back into my Arms probably my fav so far. Im kinda in the middle about most of the rest. It didnt replace Trouble Walkin as my fav after Kiss Ace cd.
I agree with you. The tune Blinded I did not like. Something off about this one...and yes, Constantly Cute is a pop diva song lol. Not for a 72 year old man lol. Nice review.
I thought the same with photos inside w/ touring band. I think video is quick edited on 10,000 volts because Ace can't keep up with miming to lyrics. I don't like opening of Blinded because of voice only start. Constantly Cute I didn't like at first, but it's growing on me...like Dolls did..I agree with all your likes...except I really, really like Up in the Sky and how it blends into Stratosphere, UFO themed..great review...I was so looking forward to your thoughts..hagd🍒⚡️🪐🎶
P.S.- Ace didn't use any auto tune.. All he did was put multiple layers of his own voice, which in turn does indeed make it sound a little robotic.. Great observation! ;)
Hello. Sorry. I can't find the video I responded to earlier. But, I did pull out my old freshman yearbook and the girl I knew was in fact "Leslie Casper". No relations to your mom. That's a wild coincidence though. Leslie was 1 year older than me. So she wouldve been a senior when your mom was a freshman.
@@Flapperdame16 Oh ok. And I understand. I really like the new Ace album by the way. That's how I stumbled across yor channel. From doing an Ace search. It's his best one IMO.
I think its reasonable. Aces voice is average and some of the songs are inconsistent. But its better than most of the rubbish Kiss released post Revenge.
I do love Psycho circus as that was the first ever album I remember the buildup for! I will say this album is far better than all of monster and some songs on sonic boom!!
@@Flapperdame16 unfortunately I found that one inconsistent too. Im curious as to what you thought of Revenge. BTW great surname. There was a famous boxer named Rocky Graziano.
@@Flapperdame16 Revenge was great. Definitely a step in the right direction. I hate to say it bit its the only really good album post Creatures of the Night. Lick it up was good but Animalize and Asylum were horrible. Crazy nights and Hot in the shade just pop albums. I still have my kiss bubblegum cards from 1980 in a cupboard.

@@Flapperdame16 You're very welcome! Thank you for doing what you do! Wow... age 2? Impressive!

I love the new album. He still has the Magic!

Great review Emily! You hit the nail on the head, "gratitude". Something we should all be reminded of.
Its something I try to remember! When Ace is no longer releasing albums, this one will be part of his catalogue, and we all gotta keep that in mind!
10,000 Volts is in the Top 3 best Ace Frehley albums. Ace and Steve Brown did a great job!
Excellent album review. I really enjoy this record, it has a feel good party vibe.
Im really digging this new Ace album. Going to try n get the Lenticular cover. Great review Emily 👌🐼😍😎
Hope you can get the lenticular cover!!!
