My favorite classroom job was cutting out the laminated decorations/posters for the teacher.
We also use those zip lock type bags to create center activities in our classrooms. Print, cut, & laminate the activity then put it in a baggy to be stored and used in class at a later date. Keeps items together and is easy to store 😊

This remind sme of what my mom used to do, my mom used to work in a school where the students couldn't afford most school supplies. So what my mom used to do was stock up on school supplies and give them out the the kids that needed them during school
These children are gonna be so happy, especially when they open their backpacks! I wish i could see their eyes when they get everything :)

I LOVE school supplies. I just finished my bachelors back in September so school is forever over for me, which means I am sad I will never school supply shop again for myself, only when I have kiddos ☹️ Who knew a 25 year old would miss school supply shopping…

ive always hated chalk boards because of the sound that the chalk makes on it but i used to do the eraser thing at my grandmas church and that was a lot of fun

You brought back memories of elementary school- I would always volunteer to clap the chalkboard erasers (and get out of class!)
I think its such a shame kids need this stuff, here in England it was up to you what you bought but teachers always had coloured pencils, white board makers

They do make eraseable pens but they tend to have the eraser tip of the cap (not sure if they work across brands I don't often use the erase feature even though it's cool)

The plastic bags made me wonder at what age children start going to school in the US. Here in Belgium most of them start at the age of 2,5, which our Northern Neighbours, the Dutch, find ridiculously young and almost cruel (there they start at 4) , and I agree up to a certain point.

This is not one of those ‘we don’t do this in our country’ comments...but out of curiosity, how does the teacher use the products? Are they handed in on the first day of term, for everyone to use whatever is needed or does the student keep their own products in a particular area and only use what they bought? Just wondering how they do it fairly x
Its usually brought to open house where the kid meets their teacher and tours the school . Or the can bring it in within the first month of school , Its usually things the teacher uses for the whole classroom
@@STAYYVERSE thank you! I work in a school in England and I have always loved Mary’s stationery videos. We order what we need from a catalogue and it’s paid for by department budgets. The kids are expected to have pens, pencils etc but there’s always spare available. It’s interesting to hear how other countries do this x
@@chloe2851 in my schools at least and all of them near me, we all buy our own supplies like folders, binders, notebooks, and pencils. teachers have to buy those things with their own money if they want extras to pass out

Seems like the teacher wanted to stock up on her dry erase markers by having all the kids bring 4 each. Kinda sus but hey that’s public school for ya. The teachers don’t get paid enough so they gotta make parents buy the supply. Oh what a world we live in.
Well any supplies the teacher uses (like dry erase markers) are for the benefit of the students and should not be coming out of their own money.
@@hotwasabi1085 I think the state should fund the teacher’s supplies. I agree. Funding in public school is often misused. It’s always on some ridiculous renovation lol

Children can have their own mini whiteboards. They are very useful. Teachers usually end up buying school supplies from their own money.
@@65SCH one of the reasons I decided to not be a teacher after getting a bachelors in education. So many unhealthy expectations like spending their own money, spending more than scheduled/paid hours on work, horrible work life balance.
