Love the museum story. The fact that a CURATOR is probably just too embarrassed to admit he knows a lot less than a teenage girl really makes my day. That’s his damn job.
I find the owner of the museum's information and gave him a call about how the curator treated us when we were just trying to enjoy ourselves. Have retired folk to call him to and give him the same account.
Had to meet a racing team owner suggested we meet at the golden arch's. When we got there he was extremely mad. Said he had been sitting for twenty minutes and no one had come to take his order. We did not know he had never been to a fast food place. This was the early seventies. He picked the places after that. The best in the area.
The museum director? "Sir, if you don't have doctor's appointment scheduled, please do so at once! You need to get that stick pulled out of your butt as soon as possible!"
McD story: Too bad he got his meal for free (not counting his loss of time). This was clearly a power play by a conceited a**hole. And other than for the free food, he got out played. Contract story: Taking care of the contract was obviously a part of Bill's job that he didn't want to be bothered with. But his BOSS wanted him to be bothered with it! HOA story: Among other things I would have been contacting the state agency that oversees HOAs to see if I could get criminal charges against those board members.
From my understanding (although it's possible that I'm wrong), it would still be legal for money to be paid privately so long as it was a voluntary donation and was neither a set price nor an expected payment.
Boomers Nothing wrong with talking back to authorities, as authorities need to be put in their place. And that curator defiantly needs to be put in his place He got what he asked for, and it's wonderful when they ask for it HOA's should be outlawed
Most HOA's are benevolent organizations and actually do good things. You almost never hear about the good ones. They organize the neighborhood to keep common areas like, for example, the central clubhouse, neighborhood pool or condo building maintained. When entitled, narcissistic, OCD, greedy, stubborn, criminal, A-hats get to be in charge then there are problems.

Loved your comment!!
There will always be power tripping, whether it’s museums or HOAs.

Hello from Poland Redwheel and everyone!!!

Fast food story, great story right up to the point where you rewarded him for his terrible behavior. That was uncalled for.
That 'curator' is talking a load of BS there's no legality in a guest responding to questions from another unless actual monies are exchanged
From my understanding (although it's possible that I'm wrong), it would still be legal for money to be paid privately so long as it was a voluntary donation and was neither a set price nor an expected payment.
Hey asked to send it to someone who cared so you only did that

How dare you make my museum exhibit more interesting? People might be more likely to come back again. 🤦♂

Third story: ‘Here’s a quarter, call some who cares’.

The last (HOA) story -- "Needless to say..." Well, it something is needless to say, they why did you feel the NEED to SAY it??
Excellent stories today.
If it wasn't for the previous work done by those retirees, many people would not be enjoying the richness of their own lives.
Last one: this needs to be done to our government for all their corruption and overreach. State and federal
🔥🔥🔥🧙🏻♂
Clearly, free speech isn't permitted in the museum. I would be looking online to figure out whom to complain to.
Story 1 That's a stupid policy.
