Our prayer is that this message is just the starting place for us to let go of those expectations, to be a church where we open up and ask Jesus to use our stories in order to shine His light into the darkness.

Wow! This message is three years old and yet, brand new to me. Healing, come.
Having listened to this sermon two weeks ago, yesterday I was able to recognise the lie of the enemy tempting me that the world would be better without me.

Thank you for reminding me that even when I’m not ok, Jesus IS
I was saved the first day I came to Passion City. I was baptized less than a year later.. Carmen Coe baptized me and gave my testimony and it couldn't have been more perfect.. finding my parents dead to murder suicide was the start of a downhill spiral for me, I hated God, bit God sent am angel friend to me that had been trying to see me for years but I avoided it until I got rock bottom. She came and told her testimony about her daughter killing herself and she was and is a warrior for God. She suggested Passion City bc it was close ... I gave in a few days later and went, put a light bulb in the Jesus wall (as well as my husband) ... God did so many things for us and changed us..Thank you God. Thank you Passion City. Thank you Alpharetta community group, thank you LOUIE GIGLIO! If you are thinking about suicide, please reach out to someone because you are loved!! It's not your fault, you are God's creation and his son/daughter. Please before you feel like you aren't loved and would be better off gone..know that's the devil and he's a liar. Reach out and be proud to ask for help.
So inspiring to her your story am at the bottom and am desperate to reconnect with God 🙏

I remember, hearing this message for the first time. at the time, my depression and anxiety, we're at an all time high. this word brought comfort then and it's bringing comfort now. i'am so thankful to god, that I no longer have to take anti-depressents. and although everyday is different, I know that i'am protected and covered. he never gave up on me and continues to nudge me into greater healing.
Excellent sermon, keep doing what you're doing. I hope, if someone I know, is thinking of leaving us, they'll choose to stay.
We need to talk about depression in our churches. Thank you for laying the foundation.

Wow Wow wow.. I am in awe of how Jesus has used Louie in this way to touch so many. Yes we are currently in lock down. Yes I am from South Africa and yes we have a lot of people living with anxiety, depression and self harm... I have been there too... And have felt the living power of Almighty God when I was at the bottom of that dark hopeless pit... How Jesus raised me took me through it all... Showed me why I needed to stay... It was a long and lonely path, but Jesus was with me... Holding me close. My prayer for all is that you hold fast to Jesus in that time... Draw close... He is our Comforter our Healer... A friend that knows what we go through. Thank you Pastor Louie. Amazing message and I know the Spirit of God is moving and sharing this message with alot... Connecting people all over the world with you... Using you to bring the good and blessed hope!!! I have truely been blessed to have been shown the way to a point where I understand now what Jesus has done and the impact this has in my life and how this will have an impact on a lot of people whom really REALLY NEED THIS MESSAGE!! I know that the more you say, “I just want to die” the easier it becomes. Then comes the casual step of looking into suicide. And those words keep coming, “I just want to die”. So often that you think this is truth. You’ve spoken yourself to the suicide action. You choose one of those plans out. You make the plan and you think the plan into reality. I spoke to a social worker I knew about thinking about suicide. She said it’s not uncommon. We talked awhile. She asked if I had thought or was I thinking of making a plan. No. So in that moment I was okay. Louie, praise God, tonight this broke the thought of a plan away. Jesus is Lord. I live for Him. Since I was 7 and now til He takes me home, not me. Yes, a longtime Christian can be suicidal. Friends be watchful.

Brother, I am a life long sufferer of depression. I praise God for the doctors who have given me help and His strength in my life. Finally, I want to thank my wife for standing with me all these years, 35 in June. God has blessed me greatly!
Passion City Church & Pastor Louie have helped me reconnect with God. Ever since I TRULY reconnected, I have felt God & his transforming presence :)

Thank you, thank you, this message gives me hope. I have an Eating Disorder, a mental health reality. I feel like I can’t stand to hear one more Christian say “Have you prayed about it? You need to read the Bible more”. And perhaps worst of all, pill shame, as though I am a failed Christian. I hear every insinuation, every tone of voice, that implies, “You are not a good enough Christian. This wouldn’t happen if you were a better Christian.” It seems like it would be easier to have cancer, than mental illness. It is socially acceptable. Thank you for sharing this message, I needed it desperately!

Pastor Louie you are an amazing teacher of God's word. I love your transparency and truth on this subject matter.Iwas a CEO in a peer driven peer agency for 23 years.The changes came after peers stepped forward and shared their victorious lived experiences and added Jesus to their story of recovery and shared freely.Retired now and working on a training to take into churches to educate correctly regarding this battle.
Brought me to tears seeing how much God loves me and what he saved me from. God bless you Pastor Louie 👏

Thank you pastor Louie, I believe that this should be spoken in all churches. Many sitting in Church Sunday after Sunday who are suffering from anxiety, depression and thoughts of suicide, they are ashamed to ask for help. I have been there. It was a very very dark time. I thank God for my husband and doctor who helped me. I didn’t have anyone in a church that I could speak to or who I trusted that would understand, without them telling me to go and pray and get your life right with God. I know of many who need to hear your sermon so I’m passing it on. May God bless you. 🙏🏼

I had a major breakdown this weekend. This message is right on time. Not only was all creation made in and through Him... He's also just here, with me, through darkest valleys of mental illness.
Choose LIFE. That's why He came, that I may live in Him. And perhaps the most abundant part of "life abundantly" right now is just living.
In need of this.. 🙌🏻 perfect timing .. I nearly went down but this gave me new perspective 🙌🏻😇 .. Praise God and thanks for sharing!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 You saved me!! 😇🙌🏻
This message is so powerful...I am an abuse survivor and have bi-polar. Needless to say, depression has been a large part if my life! The biggest priviledge and honor God has given me through this is to share with others who have these same struggles. God has led me to many people who are in the beginning of this journey that I have been on for 30 + years. As soon as I saw this message...I believe it was October of 2019..I was able to open the door if my heart wider in response to Jesus knocking. I understood that He is okay with my illness..He loves me and wants me here! This message is now one of the first tools I share with anyone I am led to who is struggling with depression for any reason! Thank you church for saying yes to Him in giving us this word & tool! Blessings!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE your teachings, Pastor, and have shown them at The Lovelady Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Some of the precious women who enter our program, leaving a life of addiction and incarceration, are just not sure if there is a God - and for those abused by their earthly fathers, are not sure they trust God at all anyhow. Your teachings have helped bring some full-circle. THANK YOU for what you do.
