Thank you so much for posting Mr. Heitzig's messages. As a 23 year old, it is very encouraging learning a synopsis of the bible. Much love brothers and sisters 🙏🏽
Hhayi ma'an Ps. Skip such an insight, I would love to have such confidence, knowledge, passion, in the word of God on day, I enjoy your teachings as I understand the bible differently. May grace of God be with you always. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for an excellent study today in The Gospel of Matthew. Since you saw the Nativity Scene in Baghdad, hopefully more Muslim people will turn to Jesus.
Some facts about the Magi: 1. Daniel prophesized about the exact time when the Messiah will be born, ...so they knew the exact time. 2. The birth place (Bethlehem) is prophesized so they know where to go 3. They probably believed that the Jews would remember this date, especially the King of the Jews...so the go to this king...but soon realize that they are the only one who remember. From a prophet that lived among them 600 years ago.
A couple of possibilities: David Counted Twice: Some scholars suggest that David is intentionally counted twice. This double-counting creates symmetry in the three sets of 14 generations: • Abraham to David (14 generations). • David to the Babylonian exile (14 generations, starting again with David). • Exile to Jesus (14 generations). By counting David twice, Matthew emphasizes his significance as the king and a central figure in Jesus’ lineage. OR Jesus as the Start of a New Generation: Jesus might be considered the 42nd name in a typological sense. Since Jesus inaugurates a new age (the fulfillment of the promises to Abraham and David), He could be counted as both the final name of the third group and the start of a new generation.
Jesus means the LORD saves! [21] She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” [22] All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: [23] “Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel” (which means, “God with us”). Gospel Of Matthew 1:21-23 BSB
King Herod killed all children between the ages of 0 and 2, Not just in Bethlehem, But in a 10 mile wide ring around Bethlehem. Screams are heard in Rama

Please help me. When I count the generations in Matthew 1, I get 41 and not 42.
Hi Good afternoon
What if Mary had no brothers - would she also pass along the legal right to the throne.

I was wondering about that, if people existed before they came to earth
41 generations/names in Matthew not 42. Please explain.
A couple of possibilities:
David Counted Twice:
Some scholars suggest that David is intentionally counted twice. This double-counting creates symmetry in the three sets of 14 generations:
