Agreed. Ditching the 6 speed for half as many gears or less always sounded insane to me. Yeah it cost more, so what? Cams is either or IMHO. Stock cams work well in factory turbo cars. Going more aggressive impacts idle quality. Either way K.I.S.S always works.
I have a love hate relationship with my fg lol Just got it back on the road with a fresh engine after it blew up 8 weeks ago only 2 weeks into ownership 😔 Now has 30 over pistons (destroyed the ringlands on the factory pistons) Billet oil pump gears, arp head studs, valve springs ,rebuilt and hi flowed 3576, 4" exhaust, 1150cc injectors, 460lph pump, atomic timing chain kit, pw stage 1 intercooler. Currently has hp tuners and nguage 3 tune setup, 250,350 n 420kw tunes. Be changing to pcmtec soon and a single 350kw tune so it's nice n safe. Suspect the current tunes are garbage, we suspect it contributed to the engine failure. It's been 11.94 on the 250kw tune, hoping for low 11s on the 350kw tune, stick shift too 👌

Don't kickdown the auto unless you get the input shafts upgraded. Otherwise manually shift if stomping it. Only have serviced it once so far with genuine zf fluid. No issues with mine after 10+yrs tuned. Upgraded to billet heat exchanger also.
@@sircefiro mine was $8.5k from monster torque, was a few years back now I believe they are even more expensive now, I don’t even like it I should have gone TH400 but at the time that was around 12.5k

We've seen plenty of back to back testing, unless you're turbine housing/exhaust is extremely restrictive you're wasting you're time with one on a road car.

If the government really cared about emissions, they would subsidize ethanol, not let the fuel cartel sell it as a premium-priced product."
They sell very little E85, if it was more widly used, would it be cheaper? The demand is low. Also, when comparing the E85 price, multiple it by another 30% as you burn it a lot faster.
Luke is this a $2k Barra asking for a friend. You should have been chosen for TG instead of Moog who is still wearing his hat backwards at mid 40’s. A tough street car is peak. Keep your trailer queens in the shed!
The problem with barras is if have more then about 450hp then you have major traction issues. This is very dangerous. These cars were not designed for big power. Its scarey and not fun. Specially if you are driving your family.
Come on man thay handle really well for a big car and they slide very well and they have Good brakes/ Really good traction control System And a very high ANCAP/CRASH safety rating. I myself daily my F6 on 1 tune and thats 700rwhp and its great and very streetable with a built ZF transmission

Remember the rule : the louder the pipes, the smaller the penis. My FG XR6T daily on 25psi & e85 & is nice and quiet. A screamer will not improve performance at this power level..
Obviously you own a commodore or never been in a tasteful f6,nothing else makes the same torque at the same power level as a Barra,I do like bmws though

3:36 reason why I dont want a barra, too much fuel for 200kw, but in Australia a k24 rwd conversion is quite expensive to do even yourself
