I hope we get to find out the reason why people from Natlan don't leave their nation in the future. Wonder if it'll come up as a plot point in the archon quest or come up in a world quest?
i wonder what it could be perhaps their bound to the land or something like some sort of divine curse
but thats just a theory
The closest conclusion that we can have right now is that if Natlan residents leave Natlan area, they will be hit by bad luck for the rest of their lives like Bennet who was born in Natlan. Maybe the "bad luck" that restrains Natlan residents is related to the incident of enslavement of Natlan residents by foreign nations, for the example during the reign of the Lawrence clan in Monstadt
@@daffafatih8669 Maybe some higher power like the Pyro Archon cursed them to protect them because nobody would want slaves that causes misfortune to everyone around them? Because even though Bennett is really unlucky, it never actually kills him, so it's possible to be some sort of protective measure.
Edit: In HSR, Aventurine is incredibly lucky. So, he became a slave because the dude wanted to exploit his luck. So maybe this theory could actually be true.

I have a feeling that the plot of Natlan will lead us to the nation allowing their people travel freely. We gotta show off the natlan characters having wacky adventures with new friends in mondstat or something.
Also I think we may get a plot with some natlan NPC wanting to travel teyvat after hearing the traveler's tales and manages to get to the borders. Only for something bad to happens like some curse that puts them in a coma or death
I kind of thought it would be awesome after Natlan Archon Quest they’d add Natlan NPCS to other nations. I have a feeling they will.
I can't imagine us doing silly lil events with the Natlan cast on other nations while the fatui already have all the gnosis after the archon quest tbh
@@Gonshaaa and I cant really imagine 10+ months of depression in genshin like irl there are on going wars but people aren't constantly thinking about it. Life moves on and so do the people. We are terrible with preparing for the future but that doesn't mean all is doomed and we shouldn't act like there is no hope.
Mondstat wont stop windblume, Liyue wont stop lantern rite, the nations will prepare but they cant allow their people to be constantly anxious which is why the average person in teyvat is fairly clueless about the grand schemes of the fatui.
Genshin is a story of having hope and courage in a world that you cannot control
@@harmonialarts yeah i'm not saying that those events won't happen but I really can't believe that the traveller will go to have cute adventures on those events while something so important as the fatui having all the gnosis is happening, like, it's one of the main points of the plot, something must happen so the downtime between 5.2-5.3 and 6.0 makes sense

If the 6 symbols represent the six tribes and type of saurian, then it makes sense that all of them can breathe fire. i think its probably true that pyro is the one missing as all of them can probably interact with pyro to a degree
all of them being Pyro make sense, the trailer shows it in very subtle ways, for example: the moment the 3 symbols light up there's a fire, the Geo mole "melt" the terrain if you look closely, the Hydro one can swim in lava, the dendro one can be seen shooting the ball as a fireball, the last one in the teaser is probably Anemo Pyro, and if you zoom on him it has the same dash effect as Sorush

But there was there red dragon or red flying monster at least in the teaser of the saurians and there was also a red type of saurian swiming in lava so one of the two is definitely pyro

Ok my guess on why they can’t leave: every person is paired with a saurian. They’re codependent on each other to live. The saurians would die if they left Natlan so their companions can’t leave since they function as a pair. Before someone asks : Bennett never had a Sauron pair because he was a newborn

If you watch the Saurians closely you'll see each one causing a pyro based reaction. The geo one causing crystalize, the dendro one causing burgeon, and the water one seems to be causing vape. Its rather fascinating how much alike they are to Neuvillette's hydro dragons. So they probably have two elements each based around different pyro reactions with the exception of maybe one of the ones we didn't see(maybe the phoenix one?). Its really just observation and speculations on my part. I'm super excited, just a few more months and we'll be there at long last!!
The phoenix could be anemo if it's flying. The green one we see could be dendro since it's moving around like the spiderman vines in Sumeru. Then the missing 7th saurian would be just pyro
I'll make a random guess on why there's so many dragon descendant in Natlan: The fire dragon king was seriously injured in the War, knowing that he won't survive, separated himself into many part, created many new dragon descendants in the current Natlan.
There's no proof or anything, just a troupe that I thought of.

Probably this a recent thing after catacalysm stuff because vanessa story happened when mondstadt still in an era of aristocracy which is like 1000 years ago
So far most problems that are present in every region is because of the cataclysm from 500 years ago.

My idea for the reason why Natlan people dont leave the region is that once theyve formed a bond to a Saurian, they wanna stay with the Saurian cause it becomes very dear to them, or a core-element for survival + the whole tribe thing. And Saurians probably choose not to leave Natlan (perfect for giving us the Saurian abilities only inside Natlan, from a game design perspective) and so if a person from Natlan decided to leave, they would leave behind their Saurian, and maybe that is not seen as very nice, or honorable or so.
Maybe people from Natlan don't leave the country because their Saurian companions wouldn't be able to come with them for some reason? That's my theory, anyway.

If you remember from the Genshin's official Manga, Venti said that Venessa (Diluc's probable ancestor)(the Hero of Mondstadt hundreds of years ago) is a "child of Murata (the pyro Archon)" and they are recognizable by their fiery red hair.
Venti also said that the "children of Murata" *rarely* leaves Natlan at all, which is why he was incredibly surprised to see one IN Mondstadt of all places.
I just think the humans in Natlan took a long time to start living in it because there was so many vishaps, being agressive creatures like we find in other nations, so they domesticated then with time and the vishaps "evolved" to become saurians, just like wolves and dogs are the same species, but very different in appearence due to domestication, that would explain the cuter visual of saurians compared to geovishaps and bathysmal vishaps. It's not like other nations treat vishaps like pets, they are more viewed as wild and dangerous creatures, so Natlan is the only one that domesticated then. And since they are so close to their saurian pets, maybe the reason they dont leave Natlan is because their companions can't live outside of it, so they would be alone. OR the thing with bad luck, Bennet and stuff, but i am more inclined to thinking about the companion's death/separation.
Wondering who's gonna be our Pokemon and whether it will be determined by the story or the players themselves.
Don't think they ganna lock the saurains behind the archon quest, because it seems that saurains are the main means of exploration in natlan

orobashi is not a dragon.... there's a reason why they had trouble growing corals on vishaps due to him being part of a different realm
just realized, the latest event made us fight a pyro regisvine to correlate with natlan, the pyro nation; a primo geovishap, which is similar to the drilly saurian; jadeplume terrorshroom, similar to the green yoshi saurian; and millenial pearl seahorse, cause underwater, like the swimming manta looking saurian

finally i was really waiting for your channel to upload videos about natlan. Beside minsleif, you're 2nd the best genshin youtube creator I've seen so far. Fontaine has the Melusine and the Oceanid
only Mondstadt doesn't have any mystical creatures and Andrius doesn't count because he's a god

Still, I think it was mentioned somewhere that Sucrose's dog-like features were a product of a failed alchemical experiment from her? I think that is why. She is human but the failed experiment gave her those animal features.

Just to add to the lore, Kuntur is the Quechua word for condor, and Tepetlisauri is a forged word that uses the prefix Tepetl that means mountain or hill in Nahuatl. I caught other words and terms in the stream and can say that Natlan will be inspired in Mesoamerican cultures. This makes me really happy as I am indigenous too.

Theory on the Saurians.
You know how at the beginning of that teaser showed a circle of only *SIX* Saurian symbols, not seven, for the seven elements. And it seems that the Saurian types vary by their element. This has to mean either one element is left out, which I think is unlikely, OR one element is in ALL of the Saurians, regardless of type. And I think Pyro being that element makes the most sense.
Evidences:
1. All Saurians can breathe fire.
2. The abilities of the Saurians have something related to fire. This is especially obvious on the swimming Saurian (presumably Hydro) which can not only swim in water, but also in lava. Obviously it's lava resistant.
3. They live in the Nation of Pyro, for god's sake. If there was one element that all these native Natlanian Saurians have, it would be Pyro.
And the flying Saurian at the end, despite it being very red (the only wrench in my theory here dammit), I think it's probably the Anemo Saurian. It's self-explanatory.

Isn’t one of the influences on this region the Native Americans? I wonder if the people of Natlan stay there because their saurian companions are/were confined there per heavenly law? Like how Native Americans were sent to reserves by English invaders? They don’t leave because either A) those laws are still in effect confining their companions within the borders of Natlan and they don’t want to leave their companions behind or B) those laws are no longer in effect but they still follow them as some sort of protest(?) or fear or for some reason that I haven’t thought of. If I’m right about this banishment, I wonder if Natlan has a Trail of Tears equivalent in their history.
It would also explain why the event guy is reluctant to talk about it. Something like that is surely a sensitive topic and not something to be discussed without a full knowledge of what happened and/or by outsiders to the event.
It's possible this "core" could be misfortune? And maybe that's the reason why Bennet have such terrible luck to the point of being harmful or to others around him?

Going by that logic, what if Bennet's parents were from Natlan, and left with Bennet hoping he could freely live outside Natlan without a saurian companion etc. But due to many misfortunes they either had to leave him behind a domain or they died in said domain and it was the adventurer from Mondstadt that found Bennet alone in that domain.

hey by the way we have seen at least three or four of the dragon kings next of kin or offspring allready as eather as playble boss fights or as npcs allready. by the way radin ei killed the last or most of the of the elcro dragon kings blood line right off when they had the arcion war. also zongli might actly in fact be a a half geo dragon king offsping or desintet and half adpti and also teacly nuvilite is like a a distane realtive disanted of the hydo dragon king too.
heck even the musllines might also be dreclty related to the hydro king somwhat as like dirent famly tree branch offshoot as well.

My guess is that Celestia doesnt want any influence from the soverigns/old world in Teyvat. In exchange of coexisting with saurians the those with Natlan blood arent allowed to leave or a curse would kill them.

I’m going to laugh when the Natlan story has absolutely no mention of Bennett. Not cuz I hate Bennett or anything . Just cuz every 3rd comment for months now have been about is Bennett this is Bennett that does he have gnosis does he have curse. I'm currently studying natlan and dragons of teyvat and can azhdaha really be considered an ancient dragon as his "soul" was beneath the bed rock and Morax carving his body out. Also I think the saurians were too violent as there most likely exists an alpha similar to vishaps and due to mare jivari
Zhongli gave Azdaha just eyes , Azdaha Is older then Zhongli. There Is small foloving quest for Zhongli's Story quest II .Where He talks with Story Teller that narated his Story cutscene. Only parts that Are true from cutscene where Zhongli meets Azdaha Are the ones where Zhongli talks.

It makes me think that humans in Natlan are likely being forced to live in Natlan because living in other nations means they're with Celestia. We all know that the Seven Sovereign are against Celestia, so maybe the Pyro Dragon is currently at war with the Pyro Archon in Natlan? Maybe the Pyro Dragon has the ability to curse the people so that Natlan people can't get help from other nations to assist in taking down the Pyro Dragon. This is just an assumption and speculation which I'm not sure as to why they're actually cursed in the first place but I would imagine what I assumed would be the cause.

What if the people being divided into 6 tribes are the cause of them unable to leave Natlan? Unless they unite and no longer separate themselves in different tribes then the curse will cease to exist and they can leave Natlan? Since Natlan is the nation of war, I would imagine the war itself is the root cause of their curse.
I'm not good at making predictions so maybe others can share with me what they think about Natlan's curse.
Oh, also my third speculation is Natlan people leaving Natlan means they also leave the war, which is likely against their rules and why they'll be cursed since Natlan is the nation of war.

this is a really absurd one but hear me out: maybe the reason why natlans people cant leave the nation is because natlan is the core to the pyro archons life and they feed the core (by existing or doing some ancient rituals), and if they leave, the pyro archon would die because the core of her life would die out.

In Natlan, it's not humans pet saurians, but the saurians pet human. That's why Natlan citizen don't leave the nation. It's because their masters don't let them.
Im gonna guess its a tradition or law that doesnt allow them to leave and if that taboo is broken they would get ostracized from the tribe entirely??? I feel like the peoples of natlan likely have a very tribal and clan like family like that is VERY tightknit and attempting to leave it goes against everything they believe in so nobody leaves because they dont want to lose their identity and their home.
Maybe its one of those things where they discard someone and theyre left to wander aimlessly when things like that happen. Natlan seems like a nation full of proud and stubborn people
