@CoverDrive69 sorry to reply only now, i took about three weeks to get familiar with react and know everything that i was doing!! this video helped me a lot cause javascript was for me one of the hardest languages i had to learn, it was really difficult for me to get a good grasp on it, so after i watched this whole video i read a lot of articles about react and code from other users as well. i hope this helps, good luck! :)

Maybe we all will get confused too if only start with reading, codecademy react course is started with coding with the jsx syntax, you will "know" basic concept in first minutes (i skipped the course after just 20 minutes lol).
But this guy provide how do it practically for real project.

es6 is javascript whereas jsx is part of react so why would you list stuff twice? That gives you two weeks for each which is enough to get your head around the basics.

Dude, thank you for getting to the point. Also, thank you for being relaxed and joking around; I actually look forward to watching your tutorials; so many other tutorials give me the same feeling as taking online classes and I immediately loose interest. Your tutorials are the only ones that I have been able to follow. I like Brad Traversy but they seem to all be so much longer than they need to be. That other dude, Web Dev simple guy, his are ok, but I kinda feel like I am listening to an audiobook, so I fall asleep after 5 minutes. The other million or so coding tutorials on RUclips have such terrible audio for whatever reason; RUclips should have more tutorials on how to keep a Microphone from clipping.
React has seemed so difficult. I have watched so many tutorials on React and after watching this, I have no idea why it was so hard to grasp. People on RUclips seem to give SO MUCH information that is irrelevant, while also leaving out so much vital information. Now that I get what is going on, React just make so much since as a language. When I start learning JavaScript at first, I almost immediately thought "why doesn't anyone stick to mainly JavaScript and just dynamically populate it the HTML pages, which to me is why React just seems to make so much sense.

I have to study react for an internship (fast) and I cried so much because it felt like too much of everything at once. Simplicity of this video ( and your positivity through it :) ) helped me a lot, I understood everything. THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)

Very nice explanation, and clearing my mind, I am now doing full stack course, we just start react 2 weeks ago, but since corona attacking Germany, we have to do our course online since last week, and Im pretty slow then the other students, and my teacher explaining incredibly fast, so now here I am start again from zero with react. And hopefully I could catch up with my classmates! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I didn't code for like four months because of school work, even though I'm in computer science. Sighs.. But anytime I come back to coding, this channel makes me remember why I started in the first place. It's my safe place!

    Hey @DevEd,
I'm rather a back-end dev with years of experience in governmental and manufacturing systems.
This new techs for the front-end amazes me and yet I can't get the gist of it. But you just made wanna learn React with you. You're being very pedagogical, easy to follow and you do explain well. Thx for takin the time to show old-timers like me these new ninja tricks.
    So long!

You are one of the greatest person to create a channel for learning. you put yourself in the shoes of your viewers specially to people who doesn't have a little knowledge about web development and programming. I hope someday when I become successful, I could help you more. Right now all I can do is share your videos to my friends and other students who wants to learn. This sounds corny but, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Much love from Philippines.
