- Easy and Delicious BANANA FRITTERS || Perfect Way to Use Up RIPE BANANAS || Banana Fritters Recipe
In today's video, we show you an easy and delicious Banana Fritters Recipe. This is the perfect way to use up ripe bananas. In fact, the very ripe bananas with blackened skins work best since they are the sweetest. Banana Fritters are popular in many countries around the world, including Jamaica, Trinidad, parts of Africa, and some parts of India (like Kerala). This Banana Fritters Recipe is super easy to make and the perfect tea-time treat. The fritters are crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and have the most wonderful banana flavour and sweetness. You can sprinkle them with Cinnamon Sugar before serving, or enjoy them as they are with a cup of tea!
To make the Banana Fritters, you will need:
4-5 large ripe bananas (or 6-8 small bananas)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (also called plain flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbs corn starch (also called cornflour in the UK)
enough milk to form into a thick batter (about 20ml)
oil for frying
To make the optional cinnamon sugar, you will need:
2-3 tbs powdered sugar (or caster sugar)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
The Banana Fritters are best served immediately whilst still hot, but they can also be enjoyed even the next day! They are super quick and easy to make, and a perfect way to use up the ripe bananas that no one wants to eat! Whether you love Jamaican style, Kerala Style or African Banana fritters, you must give these a try as you will love these too.
