No, I haven't heard... I'm usually too much away from news, (although since we moved to Barcelona we tend to check out news before we leave home, just to know if the streets are safe...) I've read some news now, they look really happy together! Very happy for them)!
Thanks! Alejandro sends "Saludos! And Happy New Year!"
Sorry to hear about your back... I had an injury when I was around 5 or so. Since then I tend to have pain when I sit much. I used to soften the pain with some yoga exercises, but never got serious about it. Only...maybe 3 years ago I discovered Kundalini yoga and pushed hard there, my back is really great since then, but it took around 6-8 months of everyday yoga. Now I try to do it everyday, but it mostly comes out 2-5 times a week. I don't know how it's called what I had, but it's kind of 2 bones of the column went a little bit inside in the waist region. As if you imagine passing the finger on the bones of the column you can feel that two of the bones are kind of "missing"... The pain was really bad...
If you ever get interested in Kundalini yoga, check "Chakras" program by Maya Fiennes. It's very soft and calming, it kind of works on your body harder than you can think at the beginning.
My best wishes for your back, pain there is very disturbing...

haha)) oh it does! Well, I actually hope that the temperature will not change and I'll be walking in shorts all winter))) lol like you, you probably do not need all that fully yarns to make you warm during winter time?

OMG! That’s so true, here in Florida we are just now starting to get in the 70s as far as temperature goes! It’ll probably be back in the 80s by this weekend, LOL!

I have made some of the drops patterns before, they always have so much to chose from but they don't use the standard classifications for yarn density so they can be difficult sometimes to choose the right yarn.
I am looking forward to seeing your sweaters once completed. Do you have any patterns that you use or do you free hand your sweaters?

Thank you!) I knitted only one sweater in my life using journal description, but my yarn was completely different: valeriaspeck.com/knitting/handknitted-blue-sweater/
All other sweaters are inspirations from the RTW and complete improvisations) I also do not consider myself good with needles, I always struggle with it, lol maybe because I've learned knitting with crochet first, and only then started needles and my brain just doesn't (or can't?) accept the difference))
I'll be sharing on the blog in this section:
      valeriaspeck.com/category/sewing-blog-knitting-blog/
the sweaters I will make and also patterns if it will be necessary))
What is standard classification for the yarn density? I can get an idea from g/m, but mostly make up my mind when I see the yarn, then I know what I should knit it with... it's probably sound very weird...

The density is used in the US as Bulky, worsted weight, sport weight fingering weight, etc. and yeah, I had a difficult time figuring out how to work Drops A-D categories.
I know it is easier to free hand crochet projects but I only free hand hats when I am knitting however there is are books by Elizabeth Zimmerman that are supposed to be helpful with free handing knitting projects but then following instructions can be very boring to some people and especially as they do not have the same versatility as sewing patterns do.
What made you switch from Crochet to Knitting?

Oh I see, I'm so lost in it. I suppose that lace, dk, chunky, must be UK classification? I've learned knitting free hand, just learned to read the schemes and then did my first sweater using logic and math. Months later I saw for the first time knitting patterns, written on several pages. A thought came to my mind: if I needed to learn knitting this way I would never knit...lol I still never figured it out...
I never switched from one to another. I love crochet, but I don't like crochet sweaters (for winter), I find them too bulky and rude. So I'm trying to use crochet for summer things and needles for winter time)) but I feel like knitting is always an experiment for me, lol when with crochet I 100% know what I'm doing))
Do you knit, crochet and sew? How do you see the difference between sewing patterns and knitting patterns? I've learned sewing completely by patterns, but can't compare it to knitting patterns as I never experienced those...

Yes, i do do all three! It is so much easier to read sewing patterns than knitting and I think knitting patterns are easier to follow than crochet patterns. I have a friend that likes to free hand everything and will not learn to read patterns either but she is always starting a project and never finishing it!
What I dislike about knitting patterns is if you want to make any alterations you have to be very experienced and good at math to figure out how to make all of the changes. I get spoiled with sewing patterns that come with 5 or 6 views so sometimes I try to make my own versions of knitting patterns the same way but the work is just so tedious! But it is knitting season again and I plan to knit up a couple outfits before the year ends!

So sorry for responding very late, very rude of me... Life happened and what I thought were 3 days became 3 weeks and over...
That is so great that you do all three! I never thought I would be able to knit, crochet and sew! Sewing always appeared super complicated to me)) But now it only helped me understand better knitting)) The only negative I can say is that it stole a big slice of my patience, lol)))
I mean I'm super patient with sewing, even hand-stitching, but when it comes to knitting (especially crochet) I want things to go faster, way faster)) hahha
I think I understand your friend when you know how to freehand everything, you wanna start thousand of projects at the same time)) It almost happened to me in the beginning, but I got away by making rules:
      1. Never start a new project before you finish the old one
      2. If you broke rule one, then do not start the 3rd project before you finish your started projects (which are two)
      3. See rule 1 and 2!
Well, never got out of it, because my patience did not let me. If I have few things unfinished I simply can not get to the new ones, I lose the inspiration and motivation. I feel the need, or urge to finish what I started to feel good)) sounds a little weird)) lol
I think the math or better to say the techniques to modify (to fit) sewing patterns are also quite tedious or sometimes annoying. I so much do not like the process, I always try to buy a pattern which needs less amount of fitting, or now I just draft them myself) thus I do not need to fit anything anymore))
How fast to you knit a sweater? I sometimes feel so fast and sometimes I can spend weeks... I still did not catch the speed with needles the way I want to handle them...)
