Here are the things I learnt:
Firstly my biggest learning is that I've been struggeling for a long time with the concept of market structure, but this video really helped me get better on it. The explenations and examples were so clear,
Earlier I used to mark recent low as swing low even if it was just small retracement😅 , but now I'll make sure to look at relativity with previous swing low/high, to mark the low or high after BOS.
It's imp. to know how to trade but also imp. to know that when we should not trade, I learnt we should not trade at that 50% area , as price can move either way, so I'll avoid it , I don't want to be liquidity 😅
Also I wait for atleast 2 structure shifts before marking it as Trend Shift .
Also the Taking profit at 50% is helpful tip.

Awesome masterclass on market structure. I love colour editing on swing highs and lows and bos/CHoCH.
My best learning of this is the measuring of similar length of swing retracements. I did not hear of it before on any other ICT influencer.
I would like seeing where to enter from in the lower timeframe, looking inside the corresponding extremety FVG to increase probabilities and RR trades. Hope to see.

I was only using same day high and low before 8:30am NY time and entering at FVG after price break high/low. Some months its giving good results while some months the result is very bad. I am very much looking forward to adding this Market Structure in higher timeframe concept to my present strategy. Thank you Garland for making the concept so simpler and easy to understand

You mention you want to see price retrace similar to the previous retracement. Are you talking price wise, or simply the size of your drawn out line? If the latter is the case, wouldn't compressing the chart change the size of the line if the market was consoldating vs looking only at vertical price retracment size? Btw great video. I love when people take the time to create direct ICT concepts.
The size of the retracement needs to be comparable to the previous retracement. At least close to half the size

In a summarized opinion of mine that doesn't leak any info to future viewers I would say that each key in this video will just help you see that everything comes step by step and you cant skip any of them, all the keys inside this video will open the doors you thought you couldn't open, the ones that look like they don't have a chance of opening will be opened by the keys in this video.
All I can say is this video deserves so much attention from the confused traders, I myself was a little confused and now I understand how important market structure really is, without it, how would anything else work and fit into place.

Hi Ethan and thanks for the breakdown of you 4 step approach to trading the ICT concepts. Now I have a clearer understanding of the Bos and how I can then use your gann box for premium and discount. Now in sum the takeaway is:
1. Determine direction on higher time frame
2. HH & HL's at least x2
3. Use Gann box to determine prem and disc for high probability entry
4. Deploy high probability entry using the lowest fvg (extremity one closest to the swing low if bullish and visa versa for bearish).
5* bonus look out for liquidity sweeps which can be traps and lastly lookout for a turn of the market.
That's my takeaway and thanks for this.

Good morning EThan, thank you so much for your insight. I'm watching your videos for almost 2 weeks and won more trades in the last week than the entire November. I started using the Gann Box tool and it helped a lot. I will definitely add the 0.55 & 0.45 price levels to mine. One of my biggest struggles was to determine the market bias but with the two higher highs makes so much sense, the break of structure (liquidity sweep) is also something that I struggled and was/is one of those traders to enter the market to go enter when market immediately shifted. I would like to however ask when you looking at the 4hr and the market is at the extremity which lower time frame are you looking at to enter the market? I saw that you go down to 1min but also to the 5min?

What I have learned from this video is that you always trade in the direction of the market structure
Take the fair value gap in the discounted zone for bullish and premium zone for bearish market structures
The market is bullish if there are at least 2 HH and 2 HL and 2LH and 2LL for bearish structure
Always look for liquidity sweeps and one sweep is not a confirmation for shift of market structure
If there is a liquidity sweep hold the trade only to 50% on the average tool

To fully understand trading, first you need to find a good mentor, actually everything in life and put in the time.
ICT concepts are not childs play just like any other concepts out there but if you put in the time and not give up, you'll reap the rewards. My biggest learning from your video involves using the Gann Box tool. After inputting your settings, draw from the swing high to the swing low on the 4HR chart. This determines the discount zone (buying) and premium zone (selling), and identifies an Area of Indecision/no trade zone (0.55 - 0.45). Using the Gann Box tool is one of the keys that you’ve presented that leads to high probability trades. Great Video - Thank you!

Omg now that makes more sense. I’ve been into trading for 3 years and been into ICT for the last 1 year.
For the life of me I could not get profitable. Most of the time I can read market structure and try to get the right FVG but it would always go in my favour but then take out my SL. After that continue in the right direction.
It makes more sense now I have to take into account the sweep of liquidity but what hit me the most was just trying to catch the 50% of the move. In case it is changing to bearish I would have gotten out before it shifts in the other direction.

Here are a few key learnings I took away from this trading video:
- Properly identifying market structure and swing points is crucial for determining overall bias and high probability zones to trade from. there is a clear, mechanical process for mapping out structure.
- Trading from the "extremities" - the fair value gaps closest to recent swing highs/lows based on overall bias - increases probability since you are trading price extremes within the current leg.
- Using the GAN Box to identify "premium" and "discount" zones, and only taking trades aligned with overall bias (long trades in discount zones in bullish markets) again improves probabilities.
- Paying attention to liquidity grabs below recent swing points can reveal additional high probability zones to watch, when aligned with above concepts. Take partial profits once reaching the midpoint of the prior leg.
I think the key is how all of these concepts integrate together to zone in on the very highest probability areas to take trades from. Using a confluence of structure, PD arrays, extremities, and liquidity points seems like a robust methodology for finding zones that have a strong likelihood of working in your favor. Would be excited to implement these concepts in a funded account

I know I have been burned many times thinking that a market structure shift in the higher time frames signaled an immediate turnaround, when in reality all the currency pair did was make a liquidity sweep, only to continue in its original direction and not an actual market structure shift. Waiting patiently for a second higher high or lower low to confirm a an actual market structure shift is something I have been implementing in my trading, and so I'm glad this video was made with that in mind. This saves me a lot of time instead of focusing on all FVG that form on a recent leg. By focusing on the extreme zones I increase my odds even those I might miss some trades when price does not retrace deeper. To top that offer with liquidity element you introduced plus the 2 leg filter measure you spoke about to avoid being caught up in the liquidity sweep. I will take the weekend to end test this✍.
