In my hometown Jakarta- Indonesia, this is a very old old time snack exist since before 1960ish , its called Kue Putu. They use bambu poles instead of aluminium to cook it. And when almost cooked, the steam blow and sound like a whistle blow. Very interesting and very delicious.
Kalau di Malaysia lebih kepada perisa pandan untuk kuih2 manis ,apalagi jika dagandinkan dengan kelapa parut .dan kunyit biasanya untuk masakan yg pedas dan berlauk seperti ikan daging atau ayam

@@haris.saputra. yeah thanks to the migration/trading route but tbh some of local own foods are better. im Malaysian but man im love with pempek it so hard to find it here. i only tried it when i visited one Indo ibu's home and she made it for me. first time try and i got addicted lol
glove is unnecessary in food making as long as the chef has cleaned up his hand before touching a food. If you're in culinary business than you will understand.
