Even the classical musicians enjoyed the trip to the shop for a sausage roll. The conductor and string players bouncing to the call-respond from guitarist Brett Garsed cracks me up. Joyous Farnsey!
Wow! What an amazing concert, energy level off the charts. Leave them on a high I always say. John covered Led Zeppelin‘s Black Dog doing a soundcheck. Fortunately somebody thought to record it.😮
Watching the fun that the duelling musicians were having made me beam. They all chose a life in music & it was obviously fun to more than tip their toes into another genre. Fabulous, but that's what John F does. Thank you 🦘🍁🦘🍁
Now that's ENTERTAINMENT! sir. Agree with you on seeing the absolute pleasure on the face of the Conductor was brilliant.. and those violinists would never forget that performance lol. Epic performance from John and his band. Sitting patiently for your next 'Farnsey' review. So much to explore 😊
John is massive AC/DC fan and said many time this is his favourite rock song . In 1988 John’s recording company RCA,BMG absolutely begged him to record it , in an interview John said he was very reluctant to because it’s AC/DC he believed maybe he shouldn’t some classic songs just shouldn’t be covered. Long Way To The Top end up being a B side to John hit song Two Strong Hearts and bones track on CD version of album Age Of Reason
2 recommendations for Farnesy that are at the ends of the energy spectrum... "Playing to win" with the mso (this concert) is also high energy. Then "angels" in 2000 live with his backup singer in a duet Lisa Edwards. Her voice is exquisite and she expertly melts into Farnesys impeccable vocals. Angels is either a calmed before bed song, or a "using the workbench" in the bedroom song 😉 Playing to win is that pump up song before you get in the ring to face Ivan Drago, not this time Ivan 🤛🏼
@@CanadianReacts I second recommending PLAYING TO WIN Live with the MSO (this same exact concert). It has the same energy and leaves you feeling pumped!
Canadian mate... could you check out John in a later number around 2000 .... still got it though. It's called "That's What Love Will Make You Do" and he has some funky fun with the band :-)
I say it every time I watch this, they are having so much fun, one of my favourites ❤
It’s a great video. Thanks for watching
GOOD POINT ABOUT THE CONDUCTOR HAVING A GREAT TIME AS WELL AS ALL THE PEOPLE. IT WAS TRULY AN EPIC PERFORMANCE
Everyone in the orchestra was a rockstar!
So much energy, so much fun. Love the duel between Brett on lead guitar and the strings section of the orchestra.
battle of the strings!
What a blast!
@@carolynh8866 battle of rock and classical!

The conductor's happiness and joy is a big part of this concert - he's so excited !! :D
Love this high energy The orchestra had so much fun , I bet they've never rocked and rolled before😂

John has said this is his favourite rock song. You can see that he loves singing it. Love John.

I heard Black Dog is Johns warm up song and there may be an audio recording floating around.

@@CanadianReacts Thank you. oh and it's Just lin 😘
@justlinsu my apologies Just Lin Su
@@CanadianReacts 😁
I believe AC/DC haven't performed this song since Bon Scott passed away, but they were happy for John to do it. I could be wrong.
Excellent tribute regardless!
The concert was in 1989
Great performance
👍
Cheers
This concert was actually filmed live in 1989.
