Pocono Mountains Towns & Villages - Hawley, Pennsylvania

Hawley Pennsylvania is located on Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono Mountains and offers a number of great activities. From the Ritz Theater to the great food at The Ridge, Hawley has a diverse range of restaurants and businesses. Each year several festivals take place around the Lake in Hawley. The largest event is Wally Lake Fest in August. Winterfest takes place in December and over the winter, Wally Ice Fest offers cold weather activities like a pond hockey tournament, ice skating, curling, Ice Tee Golf and much more. Fishing is good. The cost of living is different depending on where you are coming. Moving from metro areas to here is different than moving here from a more rural area. Our experience is that overall cost of living based on a percentage of expenses to income is about the same, just distributed differently.

I am living in San Diego California for 25 years after I moved out of Scranton PA on 3-1995 and Brodheadsville, PA from 11-1991 to 2-1993 that Is when I was in Tampa Bay area in Florida and moved to Scranton, PA on 2-1993 and I am hoping to get back to the Poconos Mtn in Pennsylvania on 5-2021 for a bike touring trip
